One of the worst experiences we?ve had. 1. We have a 5 year old and they sat us right by the smokers room door even though other... tables were open. 2. Told us when we ordered our drinks that we would have to wait to order our food. Then she didn?t come backfor 20 more mins. 3. Ordered appetizers that came out 2 mins before our meal. 4. Our meal took an hour from the time we sat downto the time it arrived. 5. Omelette was the worst my husband has ever had and he?s not the picky one. 6. Never came back tocheck on us, refill our soda?s or give us the bill. I had to ask the bartender for it. 7. They weren?t even that busy!!! It waspoor service from the waitress that affected us the most. We will NOT be coming back. Read more

This place was awesome! From the outside, it does look like it is dark and a bit of a secret/locals only type of bar. However,... upon entering the Wisconsin style of restaurant was awesome. Halloween decor was hung proud so this is a great place to go to ifyou are looking for a Spooky meal. The bar tenders were nice and the drinks are reasonably priced. If you like Wisconsin classicdrinks and a unique stop in Cottage Grove, this bar is for you. Read more
Food was pretty good. Beer was cold cold. Bartender took our to go order and forgot an entire entree. Ordered 2 fried cod... dinners she submitted for one. Couldn?t help but think of she hadn?t been so focused on the two guys at the bar with us, therewas a total of four of us at the bar, she might have been able to get our order correct. Entree one fish was cold by the time wedrove 4 minutes home with dinner. Both entree fries were cold. I will never pay and tip before food is in front of me again. Read more
Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. Ordered the ?seafood sampler? received this. This little plate cost $24.99 lol Luckily... the waitress was awesome and saw this and refunded me and my date. Kinda just posting this incase management do quality controllol Read more
This place is such a great local gem. Ann provided us amazing dine in service. Everyone enjoyed their brunch and the bloody mary... bar that is brought to the table. The local fish fry here is also very great! Thanks Black Bear and Ann! Read more
