Such a beautiful golf course tucked between farms and away from the city. Excellent golf course, excellent staff and one of the... most beautiful patios to enjoy the sunset after playing a round. Read more

Having lived in both Cottage Grove and Sun Prairie, I have played many rounds over the years at Door Creek. Overall, the course... is good value for the money, and I recommend it as a course to anyone visiting the east Madison area. The course has someunique hole designs, and they make for a challenging 18 holes for any level of play. It's unfortunate that they have lost manytrees lately, but it is probably for the best. My only gripe is that they don't extend specific areas of the fairways to matchthe tree lines. For example, on the par 4 #3, you can pull driver and shape it left to right beyond the creek and the bunkers. There's a single tree on the far right that can add a challenge, and there are some small hills as well. I wish they would cutdown the grass here a little to further entice the longer shot off the tee. The staff are always very friendly, and you canoften see them giving lessons to regulars out at the practice greens. Speaking of the practice areas, the chipping and puttinggreens at Door Creek are easily their best feature. No where else in Madison can you find an area to hit 40-50 yard approachshots to a practice green! Be forewarned that the course has had some challenges with drainage, but they have improved thisconsiderably. Holes #10-13 are the ones that seem to struggle the most with the low-lying creek areas, but if you can deal withit, it's not a problem. Thanks for always giving me a great experience! Read more

Normally a great place to play, but went today Sunday and got behind a group that wanted to be a eighty-one, and when asked to... split, they played the ones round of golf imaginable. The kids working tried to make everyone happy, but the reality is thatthe 2 groups in front of us had no clue. Who wait for people to get on the green on par4 and par5"s before they tee off. Theybacked up the entire course, for hours. 9 holes, 3 hours of agony. Read more

This golf course will challenge the best. Lots of room for wide hitters with average rough. Par 3's greens slightly elevated... with run offs. Lots of ponds hidden on fairways. Wild life runs the course and a breeze always moves in and around a widevariety of trees. Make a tee time - you will not be disappointed. Read more

Had a great time on a Thursday evening playing the front 9. Pre round: Friendly staff, separate chipping area (nice touch),... efficient announced starts for front and back. During round: Friendly staff on the beverage cart, good pace of play, greens ingreat shape. Post round: Outdoor tiki bar was hopping with most players enjoying evaluating their round and trying to solve afew of the world?s problems. Read more

Stopped in for a quick round on the executive course on our way to a Brewer game. We had a wonderful golf experience and the... staff was very friendly. While their bar and grill was not open, it looked like the perfect place to host a party or have afrosty beverage after a round. In the pro shop, unique items like black clover apparel and custom putter covers were a greatfind. On the course conditions were fast and firm. The imagination needed around the greens and nerves needed for some kneeknocking putts led to a fun-filled round. We will definitely be back. Read more

Driving range: very affordable, well away from the course itself, not necessarily spacious enough for more than a dozen or so... people to be hitting at once from the turf given how much grass had already been hit away from the designated swinging area butget there when it's not busy and you'll have a good experience. Targets are a bit upslope so it's hard to see where your balllands but NBD. The covered awning behind the turf is nice for rainy or very hot days. Hope to play the course soon. Read more
