Well, that was about one of the tastiest meat and threes I've yet tasted in 5 yrs living in AL. The meatloaf rivaled my great... grandma's from MO, where meatloaf is a lot more prevalent staple than AL. The cornbread was moist and buttery with just a tinyhint of sweetness, not too sweet or savory. The green beans tasted like they'd been stewed in crispy bacon grease for a week, sothe beans had that bacon-y flavor permeating them throughout. The batter they used for the fried green tomatoes was delicious,and the peanut butter pie, despite the name, wasn't overly peanut buttery and saccharin sweet like some. It was pretty heavenlyas well. Lastly, but definitely not least...ly, the staff there was so friendly. They were completely overwhelmed at lunch hour(because scrumptious food and all), but they still stopped, greeted me, took time to hold a conversation, and treated me like aregular even though it was my first time. Can't believe I've passed this place monthly for three years and just now visited.Definitely worth the wait!! Read more
Great experience. Food was good - same as I would make at home. Service was outstanding. Friendly, hospitable, and... accommodating. Everything a home-town Southern restaurant should be. Just wish they were open on weekends. Read more
we had lunch here, service was good as was the food. They also have a very good salad bar. It is an old place but many locals... eat here almost every day, now I know why. I had two fried pork chops, salad and French fries, my lady had cheese burger andfries, it was all very good. Read more
How this place ever got more than one star, I will never understand. I am pretty sure that I am leaving with food poisoning from... what was supposed to be ranch dressing, but had a ?zing? to it like a cross between pickle and lime juice?? I could write a book about this restaurant. OMG The Staff & Managers are like Angels. They are super sweet and are on top of... everything with a smile at all times. If you want to feel like you're eating in heaven then I recommend you Fly Up here anddon't forget to try those Beef Tips on Thursday's you won't regret it I swear???? Read more

First off, I am a retired chef who's worked in very high end restaurants for 30 years. After I retired I decided to become a... Professional driver... I usually either cook my own food or eat something healthy that I keep with me. Yesterday and today I wasfeeling lazy and decided to try a local Mom and Pop. I was greeted with a huge smile,sat quickly and my order was just as fastbeing taken and brought to my table. Waitress both days were outstandingly pleasant, friendly and fast. Food was hot deliciousand homemade. Desserts are made by the hostess who seats you and are outstanding! Btw... She's a definite sweetie. I will beback to that restaurant EVERY TIME I'm in town!
