We had some problems on our visit. There was an excessive delay in getting our order taken by the waitress and then kitchen... didn't get our order right and we had to send the first two plates of food back to be remade. I'm told there were new people inthe kitchen being trained. I'm glad we ordered an appetizer and there were chips and salsa because dinner was a while coming andthe remade food still wasn't exactly what was ordered. But I will say that once we got our food, it was good and the owner tookaction once he knew that we were having issues. So we will be back to give it another try because the new owner does seem verynice. Read more

Excellent food and service. I was impressed by the team attitude- they all recognized when we needed something and responded... accordingly. I highly recommend the Howling Coyote! I even wanted to buy one of their shirts as a souvenir. I'm Ohio bound butwill be back. Read more

+JMJ Friday 28 October 2022 Entered the cantina and was greeted with what I perceive as a sincere welcome by a nice gentleman. I... mention this because sometimes one may be greeted with a it's-business-as-usual staff. The cantina is actually very spaciouswith tables and booths in the front and in a back section. The decor is lovely. And, the view of the mountains of Verde Valleyare a reminder of why I love living in Arizona: natural beauty everywhere. Also, always enjoy authentic Mexican music forbackground ambience. Love it! The appetizing aroma of Fajitas being served to a couple made me hungrier than I already was. Mymeal of cheese enchiladas has arrived time to chow down. Now to complete this review. My meal was very delicious! ???? Theseasoning wasn't spicy at all but all the foods complimented one another. The enchiladas were tasty but the refried beans weresome of the best I have recently eaten. My server was very good. Attentive without being overbearing. Lastly, I was a littleuncertain of how to eat the sopapilla but figured it out. It is served with a side of butter and honey. Perfect treat to end mydining experience. Their menu is expansive so hopefully I will return to enjoy some of their other selections. Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Blessings! Read more

Fairly new ownership. The chicken enchilada was really good. Husband had more variety and liked it all. Only complaint would be... their salsa. It's to tomatoe tasting, not enough veggies in it or "kick". Read more

I have always had a GREAT EXPERIANCE there. Today at work our District Manager and a Trainer were here from the southern part of... the state. They wanted to go have lunch and I recommended Howling Coyote. Needless to say they had a bad experience with a bugin their drinks and the food not so good. Now even my boss won't try out the restaurant as she is new to the area. Read more

This place is getting better. My rice is typically not fully cooked so its crunchy. One time it'll have veggies the next it wont... so no consistency. The salsa is great. Im so glad Bea is back. The food is amazing since they hired her!!! If she leaves it'llbe bad for the business honestly. The owners are nice but there is alot that people don't know. Read more
