I love this zupas! Every time I come here I get the most fantastic service. Every employee I?ve encountered here has been... respectful, quick, nice, enthusiastic, etc! I?ve tried to tip the people who?ve helped me, but I get told that they aren?tallowed tips!!! I think that is just crazy!! My experience at this location was just okay. The staff seemed to be in a frenzy and hard at it. My observation was they were... really working hard but the frezied energy showed up in the presentation of the food. I had the turkey, bacon, avocado and itwas messy. Soda machine down and beeped continually. Food is good, afterall being a chain creates a menu one can anticipatecertain flavors. Their lobby staff did an excellent job of keeping tables cleaned. I?ve not been to zupas for years. It?s been kind of a mediocre choice in the past but they have totally upped their game!! I... was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a custom salad which turned out perfectly. The ingredients are fresh, ripe and delicious. iwent with a large group who ordered a variety of meals: soups, salads and salads. Oh my goodness! I was so happy with my soup and sandwich. Exciting new flavors I have not had before. The roll was squeezy. The... chocolate covered strawberries were a nice treat to finish off a tasteful lunch. I can see why the place was full of high schoolkids. Staff was friendly and efficient. I?ve had some bad experiences at a few locations but this one pushed me over the edge. I saw an employee with her hair half... pulled up, another with hair hanging in his face with no hat or hair net, and another with a full beard and no beard net. I?veworked in food and It?s absolutely disgusting to find hair in food. I was (half) greeted by the shift leader who has nevershowed good customer service any time i?ve been here and the other employees were scrambling and unorganized. My grilled cheesecame with cheese everywhere BUT the sandwich, meaning it was crisped and burnt along the outside of it. Also think the bread wasstale?? it was crunchy and tough?? Soup tasted terrible, I?ve had the same soup multiple times at this location and it was NOTgood this time. I?ve tried to stick it out but have overall been really disappointed with this location. Sooo good and reasonable price! Plus bread and a chocolate covered strawberry is included ???? Workers weren't wearing mask... though which was a bit unsettling, especially because there handling and serving the food you're about to eat. Read more
The food here is great, but the service is what put it over the top. I had only been here once previous to the other night.... Decided to get the brisket. Don't care for the sauce to the point of not being able to eat it. Nothing wrong with it per se,just clashed with my palette. I asked if they allowed you to return/switch something out because I couldn't eat it. The clerkdidn't know but asked her boss, Aaron (I hope that's how you spell it) if we could exchange it. He looks down, sees half a bitetaken, smiles, and says I can replace that no problem! For the record, I understand that he was under no obligation to do so andI would have understood if he couldn't. But he made it so easy, let me try the sauce on a different sandwich (Italian Club - BTWFANTASTIC), remade it, and saved the night (I was hungry as...). The mushroom bisque soup was delicious too.
