We were visiting SLC for a week and wanted to throw a party for our friends at a restaurant. After exploring our options we... ended up going to Sumac. We were a group of 30 people. The staff was a little overwhelmed by the huge number of people that wewere but they gradually helped us settle in and started service. The place is crowded and definetely it was loud but we lovedthe food. We ordered their Hummus and Pita in appetizer. It was a sure shot winner. Their hummus was amazing. Pita could havebeen better. We ordered their Chicken Kabob and Kobedah Kabab for main course with Rice and Sumac Salad. The Sumac Salad wasAMAZING. The chicken and beef were both really good and everyone loved the menu. Excellent food! Have already recommended it to friends and will be returning! We got the kabobs and salad plus the pomegranate... walnut chicken stew. Would strongly recommend both! The saffron rice pudding was different than I was expecting, but I stillenjoyed it. There was confusion about our appetizer order and it came after our entree arrived (and we asked about it). Theybrought it out afterwards and didn't charge us for it. Mistakes happen, but I really appreciated the response and hospitality.Excellent job. Read more
Hands down dest Persian restaurant in Utah period! I?m from Cali home of Persian restaurants and I have been missing the fresh... flavors of Middle Eastern food. The food is always fresh hot and consistently good. I eat here at least 3x a month. The ownersare super nice prices are fair for the quality you get. Read more
