I absolutely love this place! I've been coming here for over a year and I usually have the chicken but have tried the ribs and... they are amazing also. The sides are all phenomenal and my favorites are the beans and mac and cheese or potato salad. Cornbreadis also offered as a side but I always get it additional because it's better than most desserts. Amazing place with amazingatmosphere and very nice wait staff. Read more
Fantastic place and food !!!! Decor was nicely done and comfortable, that is, not overdone with needless in-your-face stuff. ... My wife and I stopped by here this last week for BBQ while in the Omaha-Council Bluffs area. We both chose a half rack of babyback ribs with sides. The meat was absolutely delicious, lean and tender, possibly the best I have ever had. Didn't reallyneed BBQ sauce, but the smokey and spicy were very good and tasty. Good sides of baked potato, beans, and cold slaw. AND the(relatively new) waitress was very caring and addressed our needs completely. Definitely recommend !!!!!!!! Will bereturning. First off, the design of the inside is marvelous. The lighting isn?t ridiculous and the booths are comfortable. They have a well... stocked bar too. I ordered the ?mooing? something sandwich that includes both pulled pork and brisket. PHENOMENAL. The sandwichis a good size and you get 2 sides. I chose the mac & cheese as well as the cheesy hash brown casserole. The Mac & cheese isn?tanything special, but still good. Now that hash brown casserole though was AMAZING. It?s creamy and cheesy and flavored well. Wealso got a piece of the corn bread and that was delicious also. 10/10 would recommend this place for lunch or dinner or anymeal. Read more
Returned with friends. Great experience again. The chicken was the clear winner for me (5 stars). I can see myself driving back... just for this item. If I had only 1 choice for ribs, the st Louis would be my pick. If you like a leaner rib, go for the babyback (that was my friends preference) The pulled pork was a solid 4 stars We got in depth with the sides. Number one pick isthe cheesy potato casserole. The baked beans and the corn bread were tied for second. Acceptable at 4 stars was the potato saladand the coleslaw. The only thing I would skip was the Mac and Cheese. We did 4 desserts. Brown Butter cake 5 stars Breadpudding 5 stars Lava cake 4-5 stars I'm not a huge chocolate person but I can tell this is done very well. As a lava cake itprobably deserves 5, but personally because of my preferences I prefer the other 2 Bavarian pretzel 3.5 stars ________ Initialvisit. This place was incredible! One of the best BBQ places I?ve been. I have I?ll certainly be back multiple times. The sides were... amazingly good. In particular the hash brown casserole and cornbread were among the best! Fries were great too! The meat wasgreat. Only things I would suggest is adding a thicker sweet sauce. 9.431 out of 10. Many BBQ joints across the country are in new builds designed to give it a cool, vintage look. At Boxer BBQ they have that... authentic smoky coolness in the building and the dining area as well as in their scrumptious food. We dined on Chicken, BeefBrisket, Baked Beans (worthy of seconds), Mac and cheese and their corn bread you could eat like cake. Mixed the spicy and sweetsauces on the table to create a delicious taste worth of the smoked, tender meats. Sweet ice tea kept a-coming by our terrificwaitress Abby. Enjoyed the half size of their apple bread pudding with ice cream - delicious! Really cool joint, lighting, musicand beers on tap. Bought a new summer shirt for the summer bod. When we go back to the Bluffs to see the Union Pacific museum,we?ll be sure to step in the ring at Boxer BBQ. Read more
