Awesome food and the waitress was amazing, kind and helpful. We had a group of 7 after a funeral and were not the easiest people... to order as we kept jumping from item to item and switching things(not intentionally just some new menu items) lol Either wayshe was amazing and patient so thank you very much. I've only ever gotten breakfast food here. It's always good. My wife got some poached eggs today 1 was over cooked so basically... a hard boiled egg but we asked our server for another and they got her another right away. They can't substitute anything on anorder which is kind of a downer because I can't have eggs so I still have to pay for them and don't get anything in their place.But still reasonably priced and always delicious. Had an amazing waitress that was kind, polite and attentive. Started with a C. It was on October third around 12 in the... afternoon. We originally went to the one on broadway but it took 5 minutes not to even be seated whereas this location we weresat almost immediately! Thanks to the staff and cooks. Y'all are amazing af! Love village inn. One thing I would suggest is that there are people that can't have nuts for one reason or another and I really... would have loved to have had the pumpkin pancakes this morning but because there were nuts in the caramel and no caramel withoutnuts I did not get to have them. It was ok. My mom got the chicken fried steak, said it was great. My cousin got the dbl cheeseburger, said it was great. I got... the cob salad and it wasn't worth the price. Very little lettuce and the chicken breast was dry and not even a full piece, onlya few slices. The waitress didn't smile or check on us during the meal. Didn't offer refills on our drinks. We did go on freepie Wednesday and their pies are wonderful. Would go back and try again. Read more
My folks and I ate here after church. I had the chicken fried steak skillet which came with pancakes. Lots of food. Service was... friendly and quick. Portions were huge but then the prices are not cheap either. Menu didn't seem to offer breakfast sideorders. Plenty of parking. They have delicious pies for sale to take home. Read more
I have always had a good experience with the food and the service at this establishment. But the other night when I visited last... I had a very strange encounter with the employees. This actually took place in the parking lot of the establishment. I hadoriginally pulled my car to the front of the building and then decided to pull around to the back of the parking lot so I couldwait for my friend to go eat. After sitting in my car for a while I noticed two of the employees walk up to my car, look at itand then go back inside. About two minutes later I see probably 5 employees come out of the back door looking over at my car.They then walked up to my window which I then rolled down. One of the girls then spoke up and said "we are the employees thatwork here, we saw you pull up to the front and then pull around to the back" "we were wondering what you were doing". Veryconfused I said I'm just waiting for my friend. After hearing this the girl says ok and all 5 of the employees go back into theestablishment. After going back inside some of the employees then began to stare at me through one of the side windows of thebuilding. Very very very strange! I then went inside with my friend and the service was fine so I really don't know what allthat was about. I was just really confused and very weirded out.
