Overall: presentation could improve, but flavour was positive and burritos were large; we would order again. Delicado?s... provides the only Mexican cuisine that we are aware of in the area. The flavours were enjoyable, and the burritos were generousin size; in particular, the spicy chipotle on the side was awesome. The takeout style and presentation were different than I?veseen elsewhere- that being said, food that tastes good and leaves me full deserves to be well-rated in my books. Read more
Welcome to the Courtney Mexican!!! Or in this case, the Mexican't! Sweet soup!! And no, not in the street sense, just sweet....... Where a chicken tortilla soup shouldn't be. Main course..... Huge burrito! Like HUGE! And then you cut into it, to find thelargest collection of sweetcorn I have seen in one meal! And a handful of chicken bits, some brown squish and a couple refriedbeans. LOVE this place. I go to the downtown location as well as the beach shack on a fairly regular basis for their falafel roll-up. ... One of my favourite lunches in the valley and an excellent vegetarian option. DONT MISS OUT!! THESE GUYS ARE GREAT!!! Read more
Don't listen to any of the naysayers! We do not eat out very often as usually I can cook way better, with good fresh ingredients... for a fraction of what one pays in a restaurant. That being said, we have ate at both the downtown Courtney location, as well ashad take out from the Shack along the waterfront in Comox. Both times were excellent. The permanent location downtown isquaint, and the staff helpful with their suggestions when it came to ordering. The meal was fresh, flavourful, and platednicely. As for the Shack by the waterfront, the food was just as good and fresh. It had that nostalgic feeling to it; a timewhen life was way simpler and innocent. We will be back. Read more
