This store is the newer and larger of the two Thrifty Foods stores in the Comox Valley. Their produce is fresh and well managed... with employees refreshing stock all day. The bakery is good with special treats like cupcakes, macrons, Napoleon slices, andbirthday cakes as well as daily baked-in-store goods like muffins, bagels, buns and pastries. They have a very good gourmetcheese selection, a small deli, fish counter and specialty meat counter. They frequently bring in new products for customers totry. They have good sized: health food, flower, ready-made takeout, and bulk areas plus if you like to shop with a beverage inyour cart there's a small Starbucks outlet in the store. I find their meat to be good quality, their signage decent, aislewidth okay and they seem to have a diverse range of employees. This is the grocery store that we shop at the most for the abovereasons but also because it is very bright, clean, and we feel it has the best selection of all the local stores. The staff havealways been helpful and pleasant to deal with when we were looking for something so it makes the chore of grocery shopping alittle more pleasant. Read more

Fluid Bar and Grill. Not Thrifty foods. My GPS is not being accurate. The Crab dip & belini were Fantastic!!! As well as the... garlic prawns! The Cod tacos were disappointing, the taste was very bland, & after peeling off the tempura because I wasn'ttasting any fish, there was just over a tablespoon in each portion. Both salads were warm and had only a few pieces of lettucethat was actually crunchy. We have had disappointing salads there before but wanted to give it a 3rd chance, but sadly they werethe same. The fries and dip were good, and I was informed the burger was okay. If we ever go back it will be for the Crab dip &belinis. Read more

My cashier was awesome. Great sense of humor and efficient. Food prices and quality are going downhill though.

All Thriftys are nice stores on the inside imo. Funny though, the name is a bit of a misnomer. Thrifty to me suggests economy... or frugal. That's not what these stores are by any stretch. I do like the deli counter and they have tasty prepared lunch ordinner items at a help-yourself buffet type counter. Friendly clerks at this store. Read more

Beautiful, clean and fresh Thrifty store. My go to! Really enjoy the fresh juice bar. Also...the Starbucks at this location is... the best in Comox Valley! The morning staff is endearing, quick, and the drinks are lovely. Had a weird experience with theevening staff on one occasion...but that's it ! I love this space ! Read more
