The breakfast bar at this location is very good. The food is hot and fresh and is refilled with fresh food quickly. If you want... fresh pancakes, let them know and hot fresh pancakes will be brought to the breakfast bar. Nikki Y was very attentive. Ourbeverages were refilled quickly. They have Red Gold ketchup which is the ONLY ketchup I eat so I was pleased at first sight. The holiday decorations were superb!... The bathroom was clean. Server was pleasant but overall service from the establishment was not good. Not sure why businessesautomatically assume you have been there before therefore you know "what to do" when entering the building. This was our veryfirst time patronizing Frish's as they don't have them where we live. I walked in and saw the buffet bar and immediately said ohwow you have a buffet. The cashier said yes we have a breakfast bar but it's only for dine in guests. (should have been a cluethat I wasn't wanted ????). I said I am dining in & cool there's breakfast. She replied no, breakfast is only Friday, Saturdayand Sunday. Why mention breakfast bar on a Thursday evening? So then she asks a server to seat me and the server replied I'm offthe clock sit anywhere you like. Okay so I sit at front table by the cashier as to nit be missed. After a minute or two, aserver walks up to me and says (not asks) oh you're just waiting on your to go meal dear and begins to turn back around. Noma'am I am eating here I say. My friends now come in, they weren't greeted either. A guest comes in after my friends and he wasgreeted by a host and seated by a host. The host then says to us, "oh, here's some menus for you" as an after thought since shewas giving the man a menu. Anywho, whatever, we order our drinks, she sits my drink down touching the top, rim area, of the cup(definitely should place a cup on the table with hands around the bottom of cup). If I could give 0 stars, I would! Just sat for an hour after ordering dinner.... Just to be told "your waitress forgot to put... your order in". My mother in law had just gotten in from a 12 hour drive, and really wanted Frisch's..... We sadly left. There'sabsolutely no excuse for this! She claimed to be "overwhelmed" with only 3 tables!!! Great service! Every time I go I have Jennifer wait on me now. She is efficient and a hard worker. She takes care of her... customers, runs food, cleans tables, puts food on the salad bar and even cashes everyone out. All with a smile on her face! Trueasset to Frisch's. Read more
Covington, KY location. Not impressed. My Fish Sandwich was cold & tasted nasty. Looks half-cooked. (See pics) Waitress... insisted that they Pre-cook the Fish, store it in the Walk in, then drop it again (in fryer) when serving. That sounds scary tome.. In the area for travel and wanted a quick relatively local bite to eat that wasn't a huge chain. This place fit that criteria... perfectly. It's styled as a 1950s diner that's very clean and inviting. The staff is super attentive and very friendly at thislocation. Dined in and ordered my food and had it before even 5 minutes had passed (not very busy at the time though). Went forthe Super Big Boy because I'm a brave boy and it sounded good. It didn't disappoint! Better than a Big Mac and even cooked toorder. Mac and cheese was good but not great and sweet potato fries were delicious. Ordered Western Omelet. It was very good. The toast came with no butter on it. Service was a little slow and there wasn't many... people in restaurant. We had a table of seven and we were all cold from air conditioner. We had to cover my grandson with asweater and those of us that had light jackets wore them. Came in to buy the famous Tarter Sauce and Lauren talked me into getting a hot fudge cake, have not eaten one since my childhood... years.
