They have Karaoke on Wednesday nights which is always fun. Waitresses are fast and friendly.

I had heard mostly good things about Gypsy?s but was sorely disappointed. First, the ?bouncer? looked half-asleep in the corner... of the bar when I entered; I didn?t even recognize him as a bouncer. When I walked towards the bar as there didn?t seem to be abouncer (he looked more like a patron) he just YELLED ?Hey!? He was so unprofessional in demeanor and dress that I still wasn?tsure if that was a bouncer shouting at me. I returned to him, he groaned, held my ID up and kept look back and forth between meand my ID as if it was fake or I didn?t look the same. That?s not a bad thing per se, but his whole vibe was really off and notat all in line with a friendly neighborhood bar. Second, I came to Gypsy?s twice on two different nights (once on a week night)and it was always very cramped and crowded. All the bar seats were taken, and everyone at the bar seemed to be quite cliquey.The bartender was friendly enough and efficient with our drinks. Lastly, the music. Oh my god, the music. Not only is itinappropriately loud for a neighborhood bar, but the genre changed every other song to the point that my group was laughingabout it. It went from pop-punk, to slow country, to hip hop, to stadium country, to pop? I would almost bet money that it wassomeone?s individual Spotify playlist on shuffle. Went in here about 2 months ago. And after reading some reviews on the atmosphere in here i figured i would share my experience... as well. This place i would have given 5 stars to. But it seemed the bouncer had plans to ruin my night for some reason. I amnot really sure what I did to anger or trigger this person's attitude and unprofessionalism. Maybe they were having a bad dayI'm not sure. But upon checking my ID they had comments and questions that were completely uncalled for. At first i thoughtthis might be some really bad attempt at a joke. But my girlfriend also was very uncomfortable with his comments. If I wasn'talready meeting some friends there i might have just walked right back out the door. My social anxiety is bad enough. This wasmy first time ever visiting, and I've never been treated like that before. I always try to be respectful and courteous toothers. After this interaction, I ended up having a pretty alright time. But that interaction stuck with me this long. Itmuddied the entire visit of what would have been a good trip to a local bar I've never been to. Please check on how youremployees interact with your guests. I will likely come here again if I'm in the area. But will not enter if it is the samebouncer. Read more
Pretty fun neighborhood bar (always fun, actually). The bartenders are great and the regular customers contribute to the... friendly atmosphere. They have several good beers on tap and all the popular seltzers and ciders (plus free popcorn). Inside,besides the bar, there's a cool loungey area to sit and room for karaoke and DJs towards the front. And out back, you'll find adecent sized covered patio that's a little more cozy and quiet.
