Tonight we had one of the best meals we have had since moving to the Northshore. It was absolutely spectacular! The Gumbo... rivaled Mr. B's and the Speckled Trout with Brussel Sprouts was perfection. We split the Lavender Creme Brulee was light and adelicious end to our meal. Highly recommend! Updated Review – We just went in again yesterday; we made a reservation, but half the tables were empty when we got there so... theoretically, we didn’t need to. I am sad to say, I am changing my 4-star review to a 2 star, it was horrible yesterday. Soout of 3 times in the past 2 months one visit when they were super busy at a peak time was really good, one visit when it wasnot a peak day was good and this last time on a peak time and day it was half empty and horrible. I think a 2 – 2.5 isaccurate for that considering how off yesterday was. We sat there for over an hour waiting on our dinner an hour and ten minutesto be exact. During that time, it took the server a half hour to get our drinks, which was only club soda from the regular sodagun so that is no real prep, then she forgot the straws and said she would be back with them but she never did come back withthem so after fifteen minutes we grabbed our own straws from the bar. The server then brought out 2 plates that weren’t ours,apparently the lady at the next table ordered the same meal I did but with a different side, when they brought it out I touchedthe side bowl and accidentally touched the collard greens but they when I was telling the server that isn’t what I ordered,they served the other lady the food anyways which I thought was gross , just get a new side , it was in a bowl. After an hourand ten we gave up and went to Rusty Pelican which is in the same area and that was great, not the same ambiance and it is verycasual, but the food is good, and the staff is good. Prior to leaving Forks and Corks we spoke to Ashley who is the assistantmanager and she just simply stated they were short staffed but was very oh well no big deal, so I asked to speak with the ownerif she wasn’t there, she wasn’t there but I hope she sees this review at some point. Located in Terra Bella Village - A nice bistro type restaurant with a lovely indoor and outdoor bar area as well as an indoor... and outdoor dining option. The outdoor area is small but with a lovely view of the Terra Bella Village. The menu is limited butvery good and the Service is excellent. There are healthy options and the Seafood was fresh and very good. The noise level canbe loud as the evening wears on but all in all it is an excellent choice for dining with a group or a couple and a good choicefor cocktail hour as well. Read more
Food was good, but service was very slow on a Friday night. Slow is fine, when it is at least attentive, but we had to keep... asking for things like refills, spoons for the soup, asking a second time for more bread. We may have sat there for two hourswithout ordering a main course with how server kept trying to get away from our table. I had the catfish and succotash. It wasgood. Croquette appetizer was good. This place was top notch. Fantastic service, amazing food. We both had fish, with drinks, after dinner coffee, and a classic... cheesecake. All of it was absolutely nice. Lovely atmosphere for a nice, upscale, quiet dinner. Read more
Fun fine dining! This restaurant makes me feel like I live in New Orleans again. A rare fine on the northshore. Trendy, tasty,... and they actually know how to make a cocktail. Definitely going back. Read more
