Pulled in for my usual passing thru on I-12 stop only to discover a weird fluke..Zea's next door is closed on Tuesdays?? Hungry... so looked for something good nearby. Saw Raking Thai tucked next to Johnny's burgers and as I love the flavors of Thai, decidedto give it a try as the ratings looked good. I definitely like that you have the option for vegetables instead of meat in yourCurry or other dish. And it was a nice selection of vegetables to do! :-) the flavor was good however I have panang curry whichwas supposed to be spicy and wasn't. :-( also the curry and the chicken and rice soup that came with it both had a sweet taste.They should be Savory not sweet so they no doubt have added sugar because none of the ingredients are sweet in and ofthemselves. That was pretty disappointing. Downside, it says on goggle maps they are open until 230pm, but they turned the opensign off at 12:15pm, so planning a stop here intentionally could be an epic fail as the posted hours aren't accurate apparently. So Justin & I have been looking for a great Thai place and it looks like we found it!! I ordered to go and order the combination... pad thai, wings and garlic chicken. Everything tasted fresh and the bachoy in the garlic chicken was excellent! Very flavorfuland I also need to mention that the interior of the restaurant is beautiful! This was the best Thai food my wife and I have ever had, especially the chicken pad Thai! We do not know how they make it but... all the textures are perfect from the noodles to the extremely creamy peanut sauce. The service is also fantastic! It is asmall restaurant where Mom cooks in the back with help from the Dad and the son waits tables. I highly recommend giving them atry! You will not be disappointed!
