I absolutely LOVE The Hattie! I just started eating chicken salad last year and had tried it at a few places. It was okay. But... then I tried it here and wow!! I regretted never having come here to eat it all of these years. It?s truly AMAZING! It?s asimple recipe and not overpowering. Pair it with a soda and chips and it?s the perfect combo! Loved this place. Don't be fooled by the front, the inside is very clean and cozy. I had a loaded potato ans it was awesome and... very filling. Service was surprisingly quick and very courteous. They were very accurate at taking and filling your order evenwhen you have special requests. The food tastes fresh and I think the dressing was made there. Read more
Congrats, you just found the best place for lunch in Covington, VA! Food is fresh and most items home made. I had a trip to The... Courthouse and was found guilty - guilty of enjoying it! My wife enjoyed a baked potato with mozzarella draped bacon. Greatambience in an 1800's house, friendly staff, and more than reasonable prices. Eat here soon, and often!!! Read more
Quaint local lunch spot. Emphasis, they are only open for lunch. Signage is challenged, you may drive past it, parking is in the... rear. It's a smaller location. Service is small town friendly and the food comes out quickly enough. Portions are reasonable,about the size of what you should be eating. Prices are competitive. It's a good middle America small town restaurant, it's notoverdone with decor and by no means fine dining. It's an honest meal and worth the drive into town for. Read more
