Friendly staff and delicious food!

We have traveled extensively throughout the world, including Italy. Il Castello-Sweetsburgs food was quite good and well... presented. The owner came to our table and told us about the 30-year history of the restaurant. We enjoyed his visit. I had theLinguine Daniela. It was very good. My wife had the Parmigiana. She was pleased with her choice. Our daughter, her husband andour grand-daughter were happy with their choices, although we were a bit surprised at the prices. What were not pleased with wasour server. We spoke a mix of English and Spanish at our table between ourselves, although we were almost all fluently French,except me. Our server possible was not fond of Anglos or Hispanics and seemed to want to avoid us, while we watched her engagein happy conversation with other customers. Even when the owner told us that she was coming right out to take our order, shedid, not but chose to speak and laugh with another couple and return to the kitchen. That was just one example. That sort ofsnobbery can ruin what could be an otherwise pleasant event. Overall, we were very pleased with our food but feel that the menuis a bit overpriced and the service was below par. Our experience at Il Castello Restaurant was fabulous! One of the owners, Emelio, catered to our every need as if we were the... only table in the house. In addition, our waitress could not have been more pleasant or accommodating. The food was hands downthe best Italian food I have ever eaten. My dining partner claimed the same, and she has traveled to Italy. Each dish wasbeautifully plated, and each course introduced with perfect timing. Before we departed, the other owner, Jerry (they arebrothers,) was introduced to us as the creator of our excellent meal. For a wonderful dining experience with great food, greatstaff, and personal attention with a friendliness Canadiens are famous for, I highly recommend Il Castello Restaurant inCowansville.
