Nothing about Avvio is overdone. The music is just low enough that you can have a conversation. The lighting is just right to be... able to see. The staff are wonderful to talk to. The food is delicious. I always have a wonderful time, and it’s worth comingback over and over again. Read more
Slightly upscale restaurant, but no need to dress up to go here. Located in the middle of Garden City which is a really nice... area. Had the chicken Parm the first time here and didn't care for it much. But the pasta dish on the second visit was verygood. Read more
Our new place, we love it. Always good food and an easy go to. Only 4 star because there is this one host who is so rude. Dude... acts like he is the host at an exclusive 5 star restaurant. We get it, people reserved tables but you don't have to be an a**about it. Read more
Went with a party of 3, no reservation on a Saturday evening. Austin served us and really impressed. He was the perfect amount... of attentive. He didn't ask how are food was upon receiving it. Instead he asked if there was anything else we needed. I LOVEIT! And speaking of the food, everything was delicious. All good options and portions. I appreciate the pacing, too. We hadtime to eat and enjoy our app before the entrees came. We will be back. Read more
I had a great time here. I brought my poor mom and she was sad because she had a tee shirt on and shorts and didn’t realize it... was upscale. I asked to sit on their porch section. I explained to Austin that we couldn’t eat big because I promised my momPink Berry. He was so sweet and mom and I had 2 cups of soup, a side of fries,and we shared a cheeseburger. It was the cheapestlunch ever for a whopping total of $40. The manager came by and my mom loved the attention. Lol, Austin was so charming he mademom blush. Went with my future daughter-in-law on a Monday at about 1:30. There was a 5 to 10 minute wait which is totally acceptable. The... atmosphere was very nice kind of old world Italian. The waitress was courteous and efficient. Our cocktails were excellent andour sandwiches were wonderful. I had the turkey with fig jam on ciabata bread and a salad instead of the Parmigiano fries, whichmy daughter-in-law had and they were excellent. We shared the flour less chocolate cake which was very decadent. They served uscomplimentary lemon cello with the dessert which was a very nice touch. Party of 6 went for lunch. Originally placed at table too small. Waitress kindly moved us to larger table before food was... served. Great service. The food overall was great, however salmon was over cooked and dry. Complimentary limoncello shots at endof meal. Nice touch! Read more
