Had a wonderful leisurely lunch today at Legal Seafood (Garden City) with my daughter, Kate. It was a beautiful sunny day and we... sat by an open window enjoying the sun and fresh air. Our waitress, Amanda, was phenomenal!! So courteous and friendly andhelpful!! She’s a gem! The fried clams were fresh and delicious…and the quantity was amazing! I was surprised at this Legal Sea Foods. The service, the food, the atmosphere and the environment were all top notch (except a... little bit too salty for the scampi linguine pasta). I grew up in New England, and I know the difference between fresh seafood and previously frozen. It took me until now to try... legal seafood. It’s a great atmosphere and they have a great bar, and all the people were really nice. If you were looking forseafood there are a host of local shops that offer fresh scallops fresh fish. I mean the fries were good and the tartar saucewas excellent, but being from New England I just can’t say it’s great food. Read more
I treated myself today. The half portion salad ($5 )was flavorful. There were plenty of lobster chunks in the lobster mac and... cheese ($38). I did think there were too much of the crumb topping. And some of that was burnt. I also would have preferred asharper cheddar sauce, but there was plenty of it. The cappuccino ($3.75) was smooth and not bitter. The bon bons ($3) were anice ending to a nice lunch. Even the ladies room was an experience. They had the sounds of the ocean playing. The restroom wasalso clean and roomy. Went back on 3/11/2022. Liked the clean contemporary decor - service was excellent - food was hot & fresh - my only gripe is - I made... reservations 3 weeks before Valentines day - got there & they tried sitting us at a tiny table near the service area - got lucky a booth was just coming open - made our experience there a whole lot better - we started withouster om a half sh&stuffies- delicious- main course - My date had baked scrod with rice pilaf & broccoli- was delicious & filling- I had thebaked stuffed shrimp rice pilaf & broccoli, shrimp was excellent, jumbo & sweet & tender - Definitely the place to go forgood seafood ???? Went around 2 on a Sunday, a few people and not that busy. Our server was nice however, we weren’t fond that she kept coming... to our table constantly during our visit, even while we were eating. The food was good. I ordered the Salmon BLT. I also triedthe lobster ravioli that wasn’t on the lunch menu but they said it was no problem to order it for lunch instead of dinner.Overall was it was nice, good food and good customer service.
