Came here for our anniversary. Absolutely stunning, masterful, fun, exciting food. Standout was the mixed seafood (skate!... mussels! cod! shrimp!) the kale salad, the chowder, and the tahini shortbread, but every bite was wonderful. Outdoor seatingroomy, cute, gorgeous view. Got the fried chicken basket with french fries and creamy coleslaw. The chicken was boneless thighs fried with great texture but... no seasoning. The fries were crispy, creamy, and perfectly salted. The coleslaw was super fresh and not just from a bag. Tinycups for water from a room temperature dispenser, but that might've been because it was almost empty and the ice melted. Read more
Incredible. Everything you could want out of a summer lunch. The staff was wonderfully friendly, the outdoor seating peaceful... and serene, and who knew you could get that good a hush puppy & softshell crab in such a relatively landlocked area of NewYork. Seriously though the honey drizzled hush puppy was incredible, thick crunchy outer crust with a well seasoned interiorthe perfect soft consistency. All the food was excellently prepared, the Ginger-ade was an interesting homebrew beverage and avanilla soft-serve dipped in malt powder capped the day. We will be back again ASAP! Read more
Pretty great fried chicken for upstate NY. All sauces are made in house, which were great. Loved sitting at the counter and... talking with the owner and kitchen staff. It is so cute, the people are so friendly, and the food was great. This is my newfavorite restaurant upstate. Read more
We had an amazing meal here! I loved the decor - cool Hygge & West wallpaper and vibrant (yet contrasting) colors. The fish n... chips was the best I have ever had. We also tried the hush puppies and the smoked fish plate (both delicious). The servers werewarm and helpful and the music was good. We will definitely return! Read more
This is my new favorite eatery! I've been a few times now and have never been disappointed. The decor is cheery and the food is... outstanding. I plan on working my way through the menu, but today I've tried the Rhode Island style calamari which is fantastic,the buttermilk chicken sandwich (also beyond delicious) and most recently the chowder of the day which, in this case was cod, avariety of seafood, broccoli, cauliflower with a green Thai chili flair. Do yourself a favor.. stop whatever you're doing, immediately, and head out towards Zinnia's Dinette! Through total... happenstance, my son and I were driving by, and we stopped in for one of the best dining experiences of our lives! Food andatmosphere, superb! AMAZING.
