This was an incredible meal. I did not expect to be so wowed. The freshness of the fish and the seasoned sushi rice is *chef's... kiss* I cannot wait to come back, I could easily wat the salmon 5 ways everyday and die a happy lady. The eggplant was deliciousas was the miso soup which had a ton of umami. The special spicy sauce is a great addition to the sushi. I will probably be backhere later this week. Read more
Quality of the fish is about as good as you can get in the suburbs, but portions were lacking for the price point of the... meal. My partner and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. Right from the beginning our waitress, Alisa I think her name was, was... very happy to be serving us. She even asked us if we were there for a special occasion, so of course we told her. When dessertcame around, the kitchen had written “Happy 2 year anniversary” in Japanese on our plate in chocolate. That kind of personaltouch is what keeps people coming back. Both of us enjoyed our meal very much. The salad and sushi is great. My partner lovedthe miso soup as well. Went here for the first time last weekend. It was probably the best sushi I ever had. People need to understand this is not one... of those take out places with a huge menu with crazy fusion rolls (not that I mind those), this is a simple and authenticJapanese place. Definitely on the pricey side, but the quality was amazing. You know it's going to be great when the sushi chefadds the wasabi and soy sauce for you (which was the perfect amount). Clean restaurant. Service was inconsistent from very attentive to non existent. Fresh food with quality ingredients but portion... size was questionable depending on the dish. Very lacking in seasoning. Salmon sushi 5 ways was quality but too subtle andalmost tasted all the same. Mochi ice cream was disgusting. Store bought is better. Might try again to see how the other menuitems are. Read more
We had omakase tonight and are already planning the next visit. The food was wonderful, the textures and flavors an explosion of... delight. Service was friendly and attentive, and there’s a great sake menu too. Grateful to have such an excellent place closeto home (I mean, I did mention the sake :)) Adding: we came back with friends and then with the kids. Everyone found amazingfood to eat, and there’s even a private room for small family celebrations! I loved to see vegan and/ or gluten free optionsbeyond sushi (I had the best tofu salad) and the service was perfect. I definitely recommend this place. Read more
