Very very clean outside and inside, with plenty of parking. ~Bar area is well organized with a well trained Bartender. ~Diverse... menu with an attentive wait staff. ~Plenty of seating and booths in a well designed layout. ~Great music ???? at the bar withany choice of libations and a good selection on tap. ~The food is balanced in taste, hot/fresh and cooked very well. If youwant a great day to visit and not be rushed or a long wait come on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. **Great place to bring adate or have a fun family meal even birthdays. The pizza was really good even though we decided on an Old fashioned pepperoni pizza. The meatloaf was like a reheated meal out... of my refrigerator except the bacon on the outside was crispy. This is my favorite restaurant!! I come here frequently after work! This Friday night 6/1/22 was the best experience I?ve had in... a while! We came to MacKenzie River due to the recommendation of a good friend. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere when we were... there wasn't bad as we got there before the dinner rush. It was also a Monday. There is ample seating in the bar area and plentyof TVs. The decor has an outdoor, woodsy feel to it. Our server, Leah, was excellent and attentive. They have burgers,sandwiches, pizzas etc. We all chose burgers. They're quite large, but not too bad. My burger had blue cheese crumbles, BBQsauce, onion straws, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. So good. We also had Spinach Artichoke Dip and California ClubRolls. Ordered a Cesar Salad with chicken since the beer took 20 min to arrive. I was a bit concerned for how long the food would... take. Cesar salads are not that complicated and they managed to ruin it. The salad was drenched in dressing. Then the chickenwas cold looked like they opened and precooked chicken bag and just dumped it on top. I was expecting a grilled chicken breastor something to that effect. I mean how hard is it to grill a chicken breast? Never been so disappointed over a salad. Arrived around 8ish not too crowded & were seated immediately. Our server Jonathan was friendly & offered suggestions. ... Huckleberry Sangria was good. Chicken Club Rolls came with a ranch dipping sauce. I enjoy bacon, but it was overpowering & tookaway from the overall taste. A good French Onion Soup with the bread in pieces verses one large piece made eating easier. Seemed a little salty, but that is part of the appeal of this type of soup. Let's talk Meatloaf... topped with crispy onionsthat added nothing to the dish. Again the bacon flavor was just too much. A nice glaze with a smoky ketchup taste was good, butnot nearly enough on the plate. If you love mashed potatoes then you came to the right place - creamy with some texture & nicegarlic flavor. Vegetables were freshly streamed & not mushy, but could have benefitted from some type of seasoning - so ifyou're looking for something for the kids these are perfect. Overall nice atmosphere, our server was great (handled the t largetable of ladies like a pro when he had to split everyone into their own check & then apply rewards), & the food came outquickly.
