Absolutely TERRIBLE! , food, service, and cleanliness of restaurant, Silverware & employees. Melissa needs a new job, she has... no customer service skills AT ALL! She seemed irritated by just having to be there. Never checked on our table to see if weneeded anything, napkins, boxes, CLEAN glasses, silverware, only came to table to ask for our payment. Food wasn’t good, wascold!!! Asked to speak with a manager & he was just as bad. I really was looking forward to coming here and was completelydisappointed!! The most disturbing and disgusting service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. The staff was unfriendly and very... disrespectful. We came as a larger group to enjoy a meal before going across the street to a movie. Our waitress (Melissa) wasvery problematic and unprofessional. She acted as if she did not want to take our order or answer any questions we had about themenu. We had a difficult time getting her to bring the free bread to our table. When she returned with the food. She neverhanded any one there food; she passed it down a table full of people to be given to each person. We asked to speak with amanager to discuss our displeasure with her service and was met with more disrespect and disregard. This facility obviously hasa problem servicing patrons of color. As we received our bill and got the money together to pay, the establishment allows thepolice and asked them To stand by just in case we tried to run out on the bill. This was humiliating and embarrassing. Our totalwas 423.00 and I absolutely hate that we gave this establishment one red cent of our hard earned money. People of color stayaway!!! Only Racial profiling, horrible service, disrespect and the complete lack of decency are the only things to be foundhere. Please stay away!!! Read more
I ordered grilled calamari and was very dissatisfied once it came. It was not grilled at all as it shows. It was very chewy and... had no flavor at all. I will not order it again. Read more
After waiting 40 minutes for my order, which consisted of, a personal pizza with ground beef and extra toppings. I Received a... over cooked pizza that was extra crispy (burnt) crust. Was unable to eat once slice, informed the manager and was told they canremake my pizza which will take about 20 minutes to wait. I informed them I didn’t have another 20 minutes to wait. BasicallyI was forced to purchase a pizza that I didn’t eat and didn’t have time to wait for them to burn my order again!!! I alsowas informed that it’s in Barraco’s” policy of no refund, even though my order was not cooked properly…. What kind ofestablishment is this? Ah, i was given a gift certificate for a large one topping pizza, but of course I will never use it. Irather go elsewhere and spend my hard earned money!!!!!! Read more
Dinner for two (my 5 yr old and myself) on a Friday evening around 5pm. We requested a table and the young woman sat us next to... what appeared to be a homeless man sleeping at the table. We moved, but it wasn't because of the sleeping man. The table we wereseated at was extremely wobbly (2nd table from the back wall, on the right). We ordered a kids spaghetti with a side ofmeatballs and a chicken fettuccine with broccoli. The fettuccine came with a side of either salad or soup. The soup options wereminestrone and cream of chicken. I chose the cream of chicken and it was pretty good. They brought us a basket of bread withbutter, and some parm/cheese. The young woman attended us well. The food was hot, but the taste was lacking in flavor. Mydaughter had to use the restroom, so we went and there was dried urine on the floor by the toilet. We washed our hands and askedfor the rest of our food to go. The kid spaghetti comes with ice cream for dessert, so my daughter was disappointed when we gothome and it wasn't included. I have frequented pretty much all the Barraco's over the years. Last Friday I arrived back from Mexico and wanted some Deep... Dish. I ordered take out for a large half Sausage, Pep and half Jalapeno Canadian Bacon. I have to say in 30 years living inthe Chicago area this was probably the top deep dish I've ever had. Had a girls night out with food and Drinks and was served 2 terrible drinks that were supposed to be a peach Bellini and a... Pama-tini. The waitress told us that she could not take the drinks off of the table and not once said anything about not beingable to take the drinks off of the bill. We ordered different drinks at that time. The bill comes and the terrible drinks arestill on there. We ask for a manager and he says that per company policy they can not take drinks off of the bill and thenshows us the food menu with some low fine print about what I can assume was blah blah blah I can mess up your drink and you willstill charge for it because we feel that we can. We asked for to go cups so we can at least that the terrible Martinis home andfix them. We were told that is "super illegal". Read more
Went twice in a row. Nice fancy dinner pasta & lobster ravioli. No flavor.. the bread was the best part. Next night tried the... pizza. Just okay. Wouldn't pay $30 for that again. Atmosphere was nice, service was decent. Just expected better taste. Read more
