I loved to Oldham County from the Highlands in Louisville about three years ago and the one thing I miss most from home are the... restaurants, ESPECIALLY the sushi restaurants. However, Asahii fills the void effortlessly and is honestly one of the best sushirestaurants in Kentucky, in my option. The food quality, flavors, options, everything is just perfection. Asahi had good service, they constantly checked for refills. The sushi tasted great but was slightly too large compared to... conventional japanese cuisine. That's were the good ends. The beef was overcooked and tasted like it was from a Chinese buffet.The dishes were slightly bland. The worst was that my two sisters a couple hours after eating began vomiting and were sick forthe next 24 hours. We believe it was a sushi they exclusively ate. Read more

Came here on a Thursday afternoon, had a nice quiet lunch with my mom. Staff greeted, seated, and took care of us right away.... Had some seaweed salad and miso soup to start, followed by the sushi (spicy California, red dragon, UofL, and spicy tuna), thenfinished off with the red bean mochi for dessert!
