I've been here several times and have had something different every time and every time it's been fresh delicious and worth... every penny. It may take a few minutes get your meal but it's worth the wait. The soups are great and I think the samsteak withchipotle is my new favorite sandwich. This is not the place to visit if you have allergies. I have an egg allergy and asked that they use any kind of bread available... without eggs. First I was told all their options contained egg. When I spoke to the manager, she said they wouldn?t find outbecause they didn?t want to guarantee anything. Today, this is just an unacceptable way to handle allergies. THE BEST OF THE BEST!! Joe and his team are second to none. I have enjoyed Red Pepper Deli's food for years in both of their... locations in Crestwood and LaGrange. Was excited to get off the highway for something other than subway..Parking lot was pretty empty with that being said we... expected quicker service. 4 cooks and it took so long I thought they were raising the pigs and growing the tomatoes to order!Get a snack before you come and get food! This Deli has a huge option of sandwiches including the more familiar ones, to those in-house creations, such as my favorite,... the Locomotive. It has ham, bacon, pepperoni, banana peppers, cheese, tomato, and some kind of secret sauce that makes my mouthvery happy! They offer 'pick-two' combinations for lunch so you're able to enjoy any two of the following: 1/2 of a sandwichyou choose, a cup of soup, one of their side salad options, all at reasonable price/under $10! Today's soups offered wereTomato Artichoke; Chicken and Rice with mushrooms; and Jambalaya. My sister and I tried the chicken and rice and Jambalayasoups, and they were quite tasty! They also have a punch-card which will enable you to get a free sandwich after 11(?) punches,so it pays to visit often! Original review is below. Went from 4 star to 2. Food is still great. Wait times are usually a little long, but can deal with... that. The last 3 times I have been in though I have been missing items from my order or my order was completely lost and I hadto go back in to get the missing items or give my order completely over since it was lost. Like I said, great food, but be sureto check your order before you leave and make sure you get a receipt. Good food. Made while you wait. Great because it's fresh,but you will have to wait a little longer to get food. Comparable to Panera on price and types of food( A little less expensivethan Panera). Fresh soups daily and tons of salads and sandwiches to pick from. Peak times are busy with long waits, but wellworth it. Read more
We visited today, 9/3/2022 and were helped by Emme. She was absolutely astounding. My little brother has autism and she did... absolutely great with him. She answered all of his questions and did her best to understand what he was saying. She treated himas an equal and was absolutely great. We will return here just because of her. Read more
