Love the fun decor of this place on the river. Sat on the enclosed veranda in November. A little chilly, but tolerable. The... build-your-own Bloody Mary is an interesting experience that our waitress told us is only offered about 4 times a year. Youorder the individually priced trimmings from a bloody Mary menu, but the $15 loaded bloody Mary that is on the menu every day isa much better deal. The baked pretzel is the size of a large pizza and deliciously soft and warm. I ordered the walleyesandwich, which was so over fried that there was no fish inside the crusty batter. It was extremely shriveled, curly and greasy.I would go again to maybe introduce someone to the experience. I won't get the walleye though. And if you go thirsty and order abloody Mary, you might want to have something else to drink while you're waiting. It took over 30 minutes to make 2 bloodyMary's. Read more

It's a bit off the beaten path but it's absolutely worth the trip. We were attracted here because of the viral Facebook posts... of their shipwrecked shakes. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food, atmosphere and the service. Our server, Rhonda wasa delight. Very fun and attentive. She recommended the frosted cookie coffee as a warmup and we loved it. The Kuchie Burger isan inspired combination of flavors and is served on a fresh ciabatta bun. Get yours toasted for an extra crunch. TheShipwrecked Shakes are works of art and I almost cried at the thought of having to take it apart. I regret nothing, however, asit was absolutely delicious. If Kuchie's isn't already a "destination" restaurant, it absolutely should be. Read more

Enjoyed a beautiful evening there. Hubby had classic burger and fries. I had bourbon sliders and sweet potato fries. All were... delicious and service was friendly and fast considering it was very busy on a Saturday evening. The sauce/butter they serve withthe sweet potato fries was exceptional. Excellent experience and atmosphere. We must go back to try a shipwreck shake. Read more

Atmosphere is nice and beachy, staff was very friendly, and the service was good. The food tasted good... but I was taken aback... with the small size of my order. Most of the burgers on the menu currently cost like $10-$14 and they have huge 1/2 poundpatties. I think there was one for like $15 that had 2 - 1/2 pound patties, for a massive total of 1 lb of beef. I saw thebourbon sliders for $11 and figured they would be oversized sliders, maybe a 1/4 lb each, since their "regular" burgers werevery large and in the same general price range. I admit: my fault for assuming. What they brought out were two the typicalslider-size buns, but the beef on each one was about the size of a nickle-to-quarter-sized gumball. I think it maybe covered 33%of the tiny bun, definitely less than half. Search the internet for slider and it's reasonable to expect the patty to bedecently thick and extend to the edges of the bun. I had already ate one slider before deciding to take a picture, which isattached to this review. You can see how absolutely tiny the patty is and the other one was just like it. Look at it compared tothe size of the fries to get a feel for the size of the patty. They tasted very good, but very disappointing for the price theycharge for what you get. Read more

Above average food (but not amazing), above average price, great view of the river, great menu! The only restaurant in Peoria... area with its own dock for boats. Unless you dock downtown and go for a short walk. We walked in, got seated on the deck, waited15-20 minutes (no exaggeration) before a waitress acknowledged our existence. Actually had to ask another tables server if wecould get some service. After that, everything was good. Hostess was rude, servers were friendly though! I had a buffalo mac ncheese sandwich, delicious, would get it again! Also shared an Oreo shake (can?t remember the clever name it?s called on themenu) and they?ve got several flavor variations of those, it was absolutely amazing! Be careful when tying up, the current isstrong through here and I?d say half or more of boats don?t slow down for a courtesy no wake pass so make sure to have plenty offenders out. All in all I recommend stopping here whether by boat or car for great food and drinks! Would definitely give thesub-par service a second chance, s*** happens, no biggie. Read more

Had the Walleye Bites and their Shipwreck Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary was good and spicy came with a cheeseburger slider which was... descent bbq meatballs couple slices of cheese a pickle couple small olives a small shrimp a small tomato and a celery stick.Walleye bites were good not overly battered. Descent draft selection even though it was small. Good atmosphere got in there on aSat at 11 opening time and quickly started to get packed. Outside has neat views with the tugboats and barges coming by. Read more

Kuchie's on the water is a bar situated on the Illinois River. We didn't get to use the deck for eating because it's February.... Inside gives you a nautical vibe. Our party of 12 quickly was seated (we did have reservations). Madison was our server and wasoutstanding. It's rare to find a server who remembers what is ordered by whom, Madison pulled it off with ease. I was amazed atthe size of the pretzel which was amazing. I opted for the Walleye Dinner which comes with 2 sides of your choice. The fish hada light breading and was cooked perfectly. I heard others commenting how good their selections were. Lobster Mac and Cheese,Shrimp Dinner etc. I turned off by the fact the Burgers are not fresh hand pattied but there are enough other options to choosefrom. The Signature Drinks were very good and the kids delighted in the Signature Milkshake. Yes I'll be back in Summer to baskon the deck which overlooks the river. Read more
