We ate dinner at Il Bel Lago for our ladies book club. Great ambience in the dinning room. I noticed a more casual area near the... bar with lots of seating. There are several areas that can accommodate larger groups for celebrations and business lunches. Iordered the ceasar salad, fusilli pasta, mascato, and raspberry sorbet. Very delicious! Rating: 4.8 Stars This was my first trip to Il Bel Lago, and I really enjoyed it. I ordered the Lasagna, and it was absolutely... fantastic. The sauce was sweet, and meat had great flavor and was not too salty. The cheese was tasty, and the basil added a lotof flavor. Additionally, the flat pasta was superbly cooked. The components of this Lasagna complimented each other perfectly.Lastly, I absolutely loved the generous portion. I also had two glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon, and it was good. I was here togive a lecture, and I had to wait to eat my meal. They kindly delayed brining my order out until after the talk, which wasgreatly appreciated. The waiter was very attentive. If you are ever in the area, this restaurant should definitely be on your list. Great ambiance for those specials days, date... nights, business or family gatherings. The customer service was on point, the food delicious. Best lamb I’ve had . I alsoordered a small smoked salmon pasta, sauced just right and the Tiramisu I enjoyed indulging in!!! We even got the chance tomeet the chef himself. I wish I took more pictures as they have a full bar and more dining area. Thank you for the experienceand we will definitely be back. Read more
Love, love, love this restaurant, very upscale great atmosphere you can eat inside or outside. The service is amazing from the... owner to the bus boys they keep check on you to see if you need anything. The food and drinks are very good, we can't wait to goback. And the icing on the cake was to see that from Michael Jordan to Oprah Winfrey along w/former presidents has eaten at thisrestaurant. Read more
We visited II Bel Lago for an appreciation dinner with buisness colleagues. The food and drinks were fantastic. The atmosphere... is warm and attractive. The menu was top tier. We're definitely placing II Bel Lago in our top 5 favorites for Italian food inSt. Louis. However, I will say that it was obvious that our waiting staff prioritized larger tables. Our waiter even left ourtable in the middle of order our entrées to attend to a different table. Overall the waiting staff seemed kind of wonky anddated. A younger, less assertive, waiting staff would have yielded a better experience. Read more
