I?m from Long Island, but I?m in CT monthly. First time trying Nardelli?s. Overall, it was good. Long Island is the home of... the deli and I also have had the good fortune of spending 6 months in Italy, so I give it 3 starts for two things. Except forsome of the desserts and angel wings, I don?t particularly find it exactly Italian style cuisine and the hero bread to me is toodoughy. Also, I was put off by the initial smell of the restaurant and even the sub. However, I think it?s the wax paper theyuse. It has a weird odor. Overall, if it?s between this and Jersey Mike?s, I don?t know and if I had my wife who is a pickyeater, I?d probably just go to Jersey Mike?s. I started coming here when they first opened. Can get pretty busy at lunch time but they do their best to keep the line moving.... Not everyone I know agrees on their subs, in particular the bread but of me I'm very happy with their food. Things like sidesalads can get pretty pricey however. Very clean inside. Read more

They have GREAT SANDWICHES, among other things like there cannolis!! The people are sooo nice and there fast at getting your... order done!! They also have Italian meats to be sliced and I believe cheeses also, and premade foods you can take home and warmup. I grew up in Bridgeport, to which there were large groups of Sicilian/Italian sections. We always went to Italian shops forproducts. It is so worth it to go there. It?s a a little expensive but not for the quality and the amount you get no matter whatyou order!! The place reminds me of many happy memories of growing up in a Sicilian family and having such GREAT FOODS AND OTHERPRODUCTS. You never grow out of wanting the things that made you happy as a child, especially foods. Your first bite of anythingfrom there will instantly take you back to when you were a kid! I grew up around Italian deli?s and Italian shops, there is noother comparison to such great Italian shops and foods. But Nardelli?s is just like the shops I used to go to as a child all theway up till today I am 48 and still, just those little things Italian shops do and make, makes my heart feel happy as well as mybrain. Today is May in the year of 2022 and I am bringing my daughter there for the first time who also grew up theSicilian/Italian way of life! As in music, lifestyle, and of course as always the best food, but I may be biased on thatpart.LOL!! But if you don?t go, and there are many of there shops around, you?ll always regret it whether you?re Italian orPolish or Mexican it doesn?t matter, the place is amazing and so is there food!!!!!! Friendly people. but I ordered a BBQ BACON chicken grinder and what I got was a little amount of BBQ on a breaded chicken... making it feel like I was eating a cutlet that was soaked In water. Giving the texture of a spungy chicken..It Had no flavor andone half of my grinder had no bacon and the side that did was like 3 small undercooked pieces of bacon. Needless to say I leftpissed.
