We had a wonderful dinner at Fat Man's BBQ. My wife had to take me home in a wheelbarrow, haha; it's true to the name, I... guess. They have counter service and then you pick up your food when they call the number. They do not normally accept tips, sothe price is the actual price here. That was something I haven't experienced in a while. The lady working the counter was verynice and helpful, even though I took a long time picking what I wanted from the menu (since I wanted everything). The wingswere A+. The best fried buffalo wings I've had in Alabama. They are cut & fried naked and tossed in a tangy mild buffalo sauce.Reminded me of back home. Everything was delicious. The ribs pulled right off the bone. The pulled pork was so tender; you knowit had to have smoked for hours and hours. The mac & cheese was so delicious, I couldn't stop eating it, which is how I ended upin this food coma. This place is a real treat. I hope you check it out! Read more

This isn?t based off of one single visit. It?s been this way for months now. Called in an order and was told a hour wait. Ok,... understandable. I get there 5 minutes before the hour is up. I sit there for another 30 minutes, watching walk ins come in,order, eat and leave, before I get my order. The blonde headed woman behind the counter has a terrible attitude! I get home andthe order isn?t even right or remotely warm! So I go back and her attitude is even worse! I?ve been eating here for 15 years.Your quality has gone downhill! The woman you chose to face your customers needs to change her attitude! I don?t see how you?restill open. Read more
Stopped in here on my travels for lunch and decided to give them a whirl. It's a walk up counter style of ordering, no table... service. They did have quite a few things to choose from on their menu. I got the pulled Pork plate, pork had a good smokeyflavor to them and they gave you a ample amount. Also, they gave me a bun in case I wanted to make a sandwich. I ordered bakedbeans and mac & cheese as sides. The Mac & cheese was cheesy, but not creamy cheesy, they were okay. The baked beans hadpulled Pork meat in them, yet, they just tasted like they were missing something and just needed some help to tantalize yourtaste buds, not the worst, yet not the best i ever had. The sweet tea is sweet and has a moderate tea flavor. The atmospherewas very neat and clean, lots of parking out front, give it a try, maybe they'll adjust their beans and mac & cheese. Read more
I love the menu here. There is a lot of choices and everything that is on there taste great. I had the fat Cheese burger today.... It's delicious and definitely one of the best in Pell City. I'll be back soon. Thanks to everyone who works here. Keep up thegreat work. Read more
OMG! If you can't get through to place a pickup order, there is a very good reason. Everything is freshly made to every order.... They have awesome BBQ and many different sides to choose from. But, if you ever want a good old fashion Hamburger/Cheeseburger &Fry? This is the best! They're busy yes, So worth it. You'll figure out the best time to visit and enjoy indoor/outdoor dining. We went to Fat Man's barbecue today Saturday May the 28th. The food was great and so was all the employees. Will be going back... again. I had the catfish and my boyfriend had the Barbecue. All the sides were good. I recommend this place to go and eat. Read more
