A different approach in a quiet town. So first, this is wayyy out of the way simply by being in a largely abandoned shopping... mall that is frankly, a little a creepy. The service is very slow, but very friendly and helpful. Now, the food. The food isfresh and authentic, some of the most excellent Cuban fare I?ve had. The yucca fries are the crispiest and the empanadas arepiping hot and made fresh. While I found the Cuban a bit heavy on mustard, everything was fantastic. I also recommend theplantains. If you can see past the weird shopping mall, and don?t mind a little wait (they may have been understaffed), givethis restaurant a try! Read more

Quiet and unassuming in a mostly empty mall. I?m so very happy we tried it!! There was only one server, but she was amazing. I... believe her name was Carly. The yucca fries are a must!! Crisp and cooked to perfection! There was also corn fritters withguava butter???????? It did take some time (the menu even warns you) but it was so worth the wait! Love the atmosphere! Read more

New to this Cuban thing. I have never tried Cuban food before today. We stopped in the Crossville Outlet Mall for a break on our... way home. We saw Abuela's Cafe inside and the smell made us all hungry. The recently moved to this location fromdowntown. Immediately we were greeted with a very friendly welcome and seated right away. Our server was SO friendly and happyto have us there. She made suggestions and answered all of our questions about their food. I ordered the Chorizo Burger Sliderswith a side of Yucca Fries. Flavors were bold and so yummy. Yuca Fries tasted like potato fries but lighter. Kids and wife gotThe Cuban Sandwiches, salami, ham, cheese, pickels. Looked amazing. Prices were good and we will definitely be back!!! Read more

Go here when Buccee's (next door) is packed! Fast service, prices good, yucca fries were amazingly delicious, plantains were... yummy. Waitress was working alone but was super fast and helpful, although she needs to tone down calling the customers petnames (darlings?!) Not huge fans of the Cuban sandwich. Never had one before. Is the dill flavor supposed to be so prominent? Ifso, you will probably love this one! I had the pork, rice, black beans bowl. The pork was really well seasoned but I had to addsalt to the rice and beans. Happy we gave it a try. Read more

Great Cuban sandwiches, yucca fries and plantains. As good as any Cuban food I had in 30 years of living in South Florida! The... server was also very nice and great at keeping our drinks topped off. Can't wait to come back. Read more

Had a delicious lunch here. Glad they had dishes that were vegan or could be made vegan (as well as carnivorous dishes too). I... had the daily special which was a variant of their veggie bowl, my mom had the Pollo asado sandwich, both were excellent. And weloved the Yucca fries. Read more

This was a good place to eat lunch. The food was fresh and delicious. The hostess also served us. She was kind and very amiable.... I would definitely eat their food again. The only thing they need to change is their location. They are in the Dress Barn in theVF Mall. I just couldn't forget that I was sitting in the Dress Barn eating. Maybe that's just a me problem. I posted picturesof the delicious meal. One dish was chicken and the other was pork. Read more
