I used to go here a few times a year. The food was much better and their was much more variety. The food has been reduced to... bland buffet food without much variety yet the prices are still high ($17 per person not including $3.50 per person for drinks).Fried chicken was edible but not good. Skin was not crispy it was just like baked on mush. Mashed potatoes were lifeless andseemed instant. Green beans out of a can. Salad was fine but could?ve used more topping choices like ham or Turkey or Chinesenoodles, broccoli etc. The rolls were good. Banana pudding was okay but not great. 3 plates in a row I picked up from buffetwere covered in food still (dirty dishes). The waiter didn?t ask how we wanted the ticket divided and so gave our group of 7 oneticket then made a deal about changing it when she never asked. Will not be back to this bland overpriced nursing home buffet. Read more

What a place, what a view, what a great selection of awesome food and KINDNESS from the staff. We had a big party, 25 to be... exact, and they took care of us and kept ever happy . The food was delicious, if I could?ve snuck a giant cooler in and stuffedit full I?d be eating with a smile for a few days. Truly, I would recommend Homestead Harvest Restaurant to anyone without adoubt they?ll agree it?s a great experience. After ya eat, take a stroll by the river. Read more

As part of the Cumberland State Park, this eatery is a nice place to have a good meal with an excellent view of the lake. The... salad bar was good, the buffet was ok and the dessert was better. They were serving grilled chicken and meatlof with creamedpotatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese and rice. There was banana pudding (very good) and blackberry cobbler with a side of icecream in a lil plastic tub, if you know what I mean. There was ample traffic but no wait, the service was prompt and continual, the building was clean and well maintained, we will probably stop in here again when we are on this area. If you desire a newplace to visit or revisit a nice state park, I recommend this park for it's unique appeal! Read more

Our family is moving to the area next summer and every so often, we enjoy coming to Crossville to visit. Crossville is very... limited on restaurant options (usual fast food or chain restaurants). We were excited to have found this option. When wearrived, the hours were different from what was posted online and were closed. There was a sign posted on the door saying they?dopen in an hour. It wasn?t a big deal, we took our kids to walk the trail, watch geese, the area is just so beautiful andpeaceful. Once it opened, we were seated promptly. There is also outdoor seating, but it was unavailable due to a weddingreception. They had a buffet line but menu options were also available. Our server was kind, answered all of our questions andchecked in on us often. The food was good; typical salad bar, but for $21 I wish there were more options for sides. I also didnot care for their biscuits or rolls, they were dry and hard. There is also a gift shop inside that I wanted to visit but by thetime we finished, my main concern was getting my 3 year old out of the restaurant since he was starting to run & play. Read more
