Susan recently catered our benefit cocktail party. From the initial phone call to the day of the event, Susan was enthusiastic... and had creative suggestions on how to organize our outdoor event,. She worked with our budget, produced and delivered awonderful variety of finger foods with delicious lemonade to drink. Susan was understanding when we postponed our original dateand not fazed at the possibility of having a rain date option. We will definitely ask Susan to cater our next event! Read more
Baked by Susan saved the day!!!I ordered this cake for my co-worker birthday last min, due to my original order from another... bakery fail to deliver. They were able to deliver the cake within 2 hrs, and they were so accommodating and very professional. The cake looks amazing and my co-worker actually LOVE Baked By Susan bakes good. We are in love with the custom cake Susan made for our daughter's 3 year celebration! She wanted an owl and it came out perfect.... She was so excited. And of course it tasted absolutely delicious, too. Everyone loved it. The ordering process was so quick andeasy and we only ordered a few days out, too. Jess came up with and decorated this BEAUTIFUL creation for my birthday from a broad prompt of woodland & mushrooms. I'm so... amazed. There are so many details and everything is EDIBLE! no fondant here, everything is chocolate or buttercream, or ediblerice paper. The cake inside was delicious as all Baked by Susan cakes are too. I can't rave enough about the cakes at Baked by Susan, and our latest request for a custom cake for our baby shower superseded... all expectations. My partner and I have been driving up to Baked by Susan from the Bronx (45 minutes each way) for over sixyears to get cakes for all of our special occasions, and the cakes are always fresh and delicious. The care that Susan and herteam demonstrated in all of the details on our custom cake made it into the centerpiece that we were hoping for, and our guestscontinue to comment on how delicious it was. I was out yesterday looking for random places to grab a snack. I saw Baked By Susan and quickly turned in. The place is loaded... with freshly baked good which I quickly choose 3 to take with me. The lemon bar was fantastic. Good texture and crust wasperfect. Light and airy. The spinach/feta croissant was the same. Tasty with a nice flaky croissant. I had it warmed up so itwas a rest treat!! The raisin scone was as it should be. Thick and biscuity for lack of better words. All were an absolutetreat!! Next time I?m in I?ll definitely try a few other items. There are plenty to choose from! Including cakes andcupcakes. Susan the owner ended up helping me as her counter person seemed to be tied up taking a phone order. It was a pleasureto meet her and I look forward to another visit! I had my daughter?s birthday party here in August. Throughout the planning process Susan was extremely helpful. Susan... expressed that toddlers may be a bit of a challenge but she accepted that challenge and blew it out of the water!! The kidsloved making their own pizza, decorating cupcakes and making candy necklaces. Her and her staff were AMAZING and incrediblyattentive the day of the party. The food and the cake were very good and the peach lemonade was a big hit. Our friends andfamily had a wonderful time and all the kids had a blast! Read more
I've used Baked by Susan for two events so far. Back in June we got a strawberry shortcake and cross decorated sugar cookies... for my daughter's christening and then last weekend we got my daughter's birthday cake, banana decorated sugar cookies and anassortment of cake pops for my daughter's first birthday. I went in to place my order for my daughter's monkey birthday partywith a few screen shots from a google search and they were able to bring my vision to life. Everything was beautiful and testedgreat too. I will definitely be going back to Baked by Susan in the future. Read more
