One of my favorite restaurants. Excellent food. Good prices. Nice atmosphere. Well worth it.
A really lovely spot, even if there aren’t any ocean views! Some of the friendliest service we’ve ever experienced. They... took the time to get to know every dog and child in the restaurant and found the perfect balance of attentive without being atall overbearing. They also seemed to know almost everyone there, which just added to the overall vibe of the smallrestaurant. The PEI oysters were good, but not outstanding, and possibly the most marked up item on the menu. The mussels weregreat. My husband loved his Mac and cheese. And the steelhead trout was really tasty, albeit a little salty. If we could walk,we’d probably be there once a week! As it is, I’m confident we’ll be back. I had been to this restaurant many times prior to 2016 when I moved away. Always have had a delicious meal with great friendly... service. We’re visiting in the area so I brought my husband tonight as he loves oysters. Even though it was late and they hadrun out of many items on the menu we had deliciously prepared oysters, Moroccan spiced shrimp and beautifully seasoned branzino.Fortunately they still had key lime pie which had just the right tartness! Everything was very fresh which means they know howto manage their food supplies and nothing sits around. The restaurant itself has been remodeled beautifully and they are nowable to serve wine and beer-another improvement since my last visit. Ocean House is a gem! Read more
This place was charming beyond measure. The space, which apparently used to be a diner, is extremely cozy without feeling... claustrophobic. Service was excellent the night I went, although it did seem like they were overstaffed, so I'm not sure ifthat's the norm. I will be happily returning and will update this review. I had oysters, and my wife and I both had differentfish mains. Everything was great, and the wine pairings recommended by our servers were on point every time. This evening I had a fabulous birthday dinner of delicate Thai glazed salmon, tender green beans, scrumptious wild rice. My... dinner companion had crusted cod over spinach, and roasted potatoes. There wasn't a bite or crumb left on eitherplate.Everything perfectly cooked and service was impeccable. Loved the experience. time, I had delicious scallops. Willdefinitely return for a 3rd time. Very small place and in high demand. Outdoor seating available. Simple yet nice decor. Prompt service. The food was not bad yet... it didn’t deliver. The bread was outstanding yet when we requested more the second batch was not good, seemed like a day oldbread. The octopus was tender and well prepared. The baby arugula salad needed more dressing. The clams were full of sand(perhaps change your clam provider to one that “desands” the clams while still alive). The raw oysters were good, pitty thatthey used a standard cocktail sauce and that the mignonette was too “vinagry”. Read more
