The chai was good, the atmosphere was great. We enjoyed going through the books in the attached bookstore.
I had given this place a higher rating before, but since some employees have left, the remaining employees obviously don't care... about their work, and it shows in their negative attitudes and the service they provide (or lack thereof.) When it is nearing toclosing time they will plain refuse to make certain items. If one of them is in a bad mood, they'll slam containers and thingsaround, angrily grumble under their breath, and give dirty looks. I try to be as pleasant as I can to them but it makes nodifference. If they're in a mood, it would seem they're all too eager to take their bad time out on their customers, even theones that are trying to be patient and understanding. I wouldn't have complained about something like this if it were a one timeoccurrence, but this has been the consistent experience lately. It's a shame, the black cow used to be a really great coffeeshop. The quality of the product is also suffering with the attitudes of the employees, it seems to me. Read more
Fantastic coffee, really cool shop. Absolutely worth stopping by if in the area but honestly worth driving a bit for as well.... Highly recommend. The Black Cow (drink) is delicious and worth a try. Read more
Such a cute find. This coffee shop has tons of seating plus a bookstore attached. Very vintage feels. The lavender latte was so... delicious . I paired that with a lemon and pistachio biscotti. Definitely coming back here Read more
If only all coffee shops were like the Black Cow? This is what all coffee shops should be like! Cozy, welcoming, great vibes,... and fantastic coffee. Pastries too! They roast beans on-site so the Black Cow always smells great. Terrific hot and coldbeverage options. The Black Cow is an integral part of the community. Family and kid friendly. Best spot I have found for coffee in Croton. Lovely place with a home feel, friendly staff, good service and joyful... atmosphere. Great coffee, and very good attention to their practices as well as their baked goods. Love the gluten free options.Great location! Overall, there was plenty of comfortable space inside, and some beautiful benches outside, if you want to lookout into the street. Very lovely gift shop, with some facinating, unique and esoteric selections. Looking forward to coming backto this place! Read more
