TWELVE ISLANDS Greek Restaurant of Crown Point IN., is conveniently located on Main St. within the heart of this charming town. ... I noticed the venue filled with customers around dinner hour. The atmosphere was lovely with framed pictures of Greece on thewall. The menu served American fare & choices plentiful as well as seating nice & our server very good! The acoustics werealso very good within this smaller venue filled with customers. My food arrived within a reasonable amount of time but to givean honest review I was underwhelmed. Much could have been improved upon such as taste, temperature with toasted pita. Theportion size was good & all in all a very nice dining experience. Checkout was at the register & owner came over promptly forus. I was surprised, however, that he did not look at us once during the checkout process or ask us how our ?dining experience?was :( ??? This restaurant is a real icon in Crown Point. The food, the service and the atmosphere are wonderful. The restaurant has stood... the test of time, with being one of the,if not the best in Crown Point. Gus should be proud of his establishment. I recommend itto anyone I know. We have our family eat there frequently and last Sunday our grandchildren came with us to eat lunch. Thewaitress was wonderful! She made them feel comfortable. Always a nice place to stop for a bite to eat on the Crown Point Square. Not quite as cheap as Main Street Cafe on the square... but still a good meal in a clean restaurant. If you're looking for just a less expensive meal at one of the Greek Restaurants inthe area, this is a good pick. Read more
Coming here for years. Cannot say I have ever been disappointed. They have it all, like any classic Greek dinner should. The... service is always excellent. The breakfast menu has something for everyone. The lunch menu does as well. I am partial to gettinglemon rice soup whenever possible. The open faced beef and turkey are great comfort food. Read more
