I am utterly DISGUSTED at this establishment. The negative reviews are REAL. Racism still exists sadly even in a town that has... been attracting different cultures for a while now. If you are of colour or from a different cultural background DO NOT eat atthis restaurant. I am extremely disappointed that the hostess, a round faced brown haired girl, failed to show any lack ofconcern for what happened tonight. A very misfortunate situation occurred when the ultimate Karen decided that tonight she wouldplay her privileged card. It just so happened that she ended up parking behind my car and we thought oh, what a bunch of sweetolder folks. Were we ever wrong. Tonight was super busy, as we waited in line. As we were next in line, the old lady asked me infront of the hostess if I had reservations. I replied no. And she said well I do with her nose in the air as she walked passedour group giving us a snarky look. I proceeded to tell her that?s fine but we will inquire if there was availability or gettakeout. The hostess looked at me and disregarded our group and spoke to the lady instead. I noticed the men who came with thelady started to walk away in embarrassment. If I were them I would have done the same. I would not have been as annoyed if ourchildren were not with us but they were. I had to tell them right then and there in front of the lady and customers that whatshe did was extremely rude and not to ever act that way. Suddenly another worker came to the hostess and stated the kitchencould not keep up and they were no longer accepting walk-ins. Blessing in disguise because if we were to eat here who knows whatelse could of happened. Nor would I ever want to eat at a place where people like that lady are. Absolutely no class orintegrity. Visited this place together with my family (18 of us). We were served by Amber who was so patient, friendly and offered us some... great menu suggestions. Service was spectacular! We really enjoyed the drinks, appetizers, pizza and dessert. Appetizers - Thelobster stuffed mushroom and cheesy garlic shrimp were great apps. The calamari is okay (personally wouldn?t order again).French onion soup was good. Pizza - We tried the steak and margarita pizza which were both great!! Shrimp and mussels risottowas a hit as well. Pasta - We tried a variety of pastas, however, we all felt the pastas were very, very plain/bland. It comeswith very little sauce and we had to request for extra sauce. Oh man, this place is incredible. Everything from the calamari and stuffed peppers, to the pizza, to the crème brûlée and... pistachio pie. We were wowed by all the flavors in every dish we got. Quite a few of our cottage neighbours recommended we try this place last summer so it was at the top of our list this summer.... The patio is very nice, and was busy for a Sunday night. We were seated immediately, and that was the last thing that happened?immediately?. After waiting for some time we asked to see menus, then after waiting another 10 minutes we asked if we couldorder something to drink. Finally we ordered, salad and bread arrived, and finally our drinks (after we asked for them). TheCaesar salad was very good. Eventually, our meals arrived, lasagna, chicken alfredo, eggplant parm and chicken parm. All four ofus thought the food was good, not great 7.5/10. We all found the sauce to sweet for our taste. Had a great dining experience on the patio. The service was excellent and the live music was an absolute treat! We had the Steak... fillet and seafood risotto. The patio is really nice, the service was great and the food was very tasty at the time. We ordered the calamari, chicken... parmesan and moose pizza (prosciutto and arugula). There?s only one issue that frustrates me with servers: When we got themoose pizza there was barely any prosciutto on it so we asked the server, Sarah, if it would be possible to get a bit more, shesaid no problem and didn?t mention anything about an additional cost. We thought she was being nice since the pizza barely hadany. When we got the bill it was charged extra. Not a big deal because it was just $2.50 but it would of been nice to be toldthat it was an extra charge before she got it to at least give us the option if we were okay with that. After we paid sheoffered a refund but the price wasn?t the issue, it was that she didn?t tell us and just slapped it on the bill and didn?t evenmention it when she brought the bill either. Read more
