The food has been pretty good, but they always serve a random piece of fruit with almost every dish that looks like it has been... sitting out in the open for several days. The booth seats feel like they have never been replaced since the day they opened. Ionly come here when my son visits. The staff likes to stare at us like we came from the circus. We are normal people likeeveryone else in the area. The customers don't stare at us at all. Staff is pretty weird. The last time we were here, my dishwas peppered with arm hair. I just picked it off and didn't complain. We finished our meals and went our way. Tipped generously.But, we're not coming back again. Hidden gem in Crystal lake! Always great service and even better food! Eggs were cooked perfectly, country fried steak was... delicious, they even added cinnamon and powdered sugar to my pancakes for me. Don't waste your time with places like IHOP,support local businesses and give Tony's a try! Read more
The BEST chilaquiles in this area! My husband has the eggs Benedict and really likes them too! Coffee was perfect, great... atmosphere, and our server Laura was very sweet and attentive. Definitely a great brunch spot! They have outdoor seating too butit was rainy so we sat inside. 10/10 recommend you eat here! Read more

The outside tables, tucked among the landscape, is the perfect nook in the new normal-for any of the breakfast menu items or... just a long lazy cup of coffee. There are two types of diners that exist in the world type 1 diner = a greasy diner that you will probably never want to back to... or one that is meant for the hangovers or people lacking taste buds or no awareness of quality food and type 2 diner = highquality diner that uses high quality ingredients. Tony's is #2 type, a high quality diner. The portions are right on the money.I ordered a veggie skillet with pancakes and loved both. Husband ordered Denver omelet. We eat breakfast a lot and he said thiswas the best omelette he has had in a long time. Our usual spot is Short Stacks in Algonquin. Have tried Burnt Toast and Syruprestaurants too.
