What a gem! This is a small restaurant with great hospitality and wonderful food. I had the gyro platter and my husband had the... Dolmades, both were very flavorful and good size portions. For dessert we had the Greek Rice Pudding and the Galaktoboureko, perfect with a cup of coffee to end the night. The staff was wonderful, very kind and attentive. We will definitely visit againwhen we are in the area. Read more

Everything I've tried here has been top drawer. I'm Greek so I'm pretty critical about Greek food. This place is a... keeper. 9.7.2022. Stopped in for with one of my sons. First time for him and he was equally impressed. Had the Gyro sandwich and he said it was great. I had the special which was Kotopita. Chicken wrapped in filo with feta and other vegetables. Delicious. Read more

Sliced pork chop sandwich with sweet red onion relish was outstanding. Great place for lunch or dinner. Staff were excellent!

Albana's Taverna is an absolute gem and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't one of the best Greek restaurants I've tried. I don't... live too close to Culpeper either (my mom and I were actually just passing through on a road trip), so it was serendipitous thatI even found this restaurant in the first place. Enough backstory, on to the meal. For a starter, we had warm pita breadserved with tzatziki sauce. The pita was light, fluffy, and even-texured, with a hint of olive oil and the tzatziki was creamyand slightly tangy. The next appetizer was Dolma (stuffed grape leaves). I am no expert in Greek food, but thought Albana'shad an interesting take on this recipe. Most often, I see this recipe made without meat, but Albana's includes meat inside oftheir grape leaves. They also drizzled the grape leaves with a balsamic glaze, which provided a bit of a sweet tasting flavorthat contrasted nicely with the Dolma. My main dish was a gyro served with a Greek salad. All of the ingredients in the saladwere very fresh and crisp, and the meat in the gyro was tender. Another standout of the meal were the roasted potatoes thatcame with the gyro (it usually comes with fries but you can order substitutions). I should also mention that you'll spend a lotless money at Albana's than you would for a comparative meal in the DMV. Read more

I have to tell you, I was so incredibly impressed with this whole place. When I first walked in, the atmosphere was great. Not... crowded, they had the absolute coolest table lights. You could control the light on your own table for menu viewing purposes. Itreally set the tone. Then the food. Omg was it amazing. I met the owners of Albanas, they were very nice people. The wife is thehead chef that actually is from Greece. Her food is Cooked so fresh. While talking to them, they were very clear that theywouldn't have it any other way. You can't find that anymore. It means so much. I read a few of the other reviews on here abouthow long it takes to get the food, to me, these must've been people looking for fast food in a sit down restaurant, this aintburger King people... it's worth the wait. My food didn't take long at all. The appetizers were sooooo good. Omg this spicycrumbled feta cheese was to die for. I'd love it if they sold it by its self I'd order it online and have it shipped to thehouse. I was so impressed with this place given the location and the end of a mini strip. I gotta say, the reviews that I readand their Google score pointed me here. If you're reading this trust me, go here, get the appetizers, and grab you a Gyro. Youwon't be disappointed, if you are you probably need slapped. Read more
