The ambiance and service at Papa's is great but the hot wings are 100% awful. and they were like 14 dollars or something which... is wild. I'll pay money all day for good food but dang, for 14 dollars I was hoping for something better than slimy microwavedsauceless bad bad bad wings. Shocking how you guys get away with that. This place is pleasant and great to dine at , food so delicious you want to stay for the next meal. My Wife had spaghetti and... meatballs with garlic bread, she said it was the best she has ever had, large portion (3) meal's. I had BBQ Chicken pizza ????it's the best I have ate . Ordered their "famous" cheesburger medium. What I got after an hour wait was an unedible burger on a dry over cooked bun with... only one slice of cold chedder cheese with a side order of cold onion rings. Waste of my time after driving for 30 minutes toget there. Server was great, drinks great and appetizers great. Been going there at least once every other week for about ayear, never had issues until today. Not sure if there is a kitchen issue or what. Asked for manager, got someone who didntseen to care or bothered to even apologize, got "so not cooked to your request, we will take off the bill" with a touch ofattitude. Not sure if we will go back anytime soon. He'll, McDonald's would have been better. Read more
Has to be one of the worst experience we have ever had at a restaurant and the only time we have asked for a manager. We have a... child with food allergies. The cooks said they did not have time to prepare food for him. There was no wait to be seated andwere multiple open tables. So we ask for a manager. She informed us that she had worked there for 11 years and they would havenever made food for our child. We were shocked, we have never experienced anything like this before. So we went across the roadto a place that was much busier and they had no problem making food for our kid. I would give the waitress 5 stars and themanager and cooks 0 stars for service. Read more
Our first visit to Papa?s! We had a wonderful time learning about the history of the restaurant?s founder and his time in the... music business. Our pizza-The Deluxe- was outstanding and more than filling for the two of us. The crust had a nice littlecrunch to it and the perfect amount of ?cheese pull? to it. And we had to finish our meal by sharing a slice of caramel applepie. Wow!! I can?t wait to go back there!!! Read more
We stopped in for an early dinner. Our pizza was delicious! We were here 30 years ago while celebrating a family anniversary.... Great to see that they are still making dining magic all these years later near beautiful Lake Maxinkuckee. The pizza is reallygood but they also have many other tempting items on their menu! Papa?s is definitely worth a visit; take some extra time tolearn of their history; really amazing! Read more
