Indian food featured on the Michelin list as well as Jonathan Gold’s LA Times list. Came here on a Thursday night around 8pm... and got seated immediately. The mango lassi was a bit watery but there was a good amount. The thali comes in both a vegetarianor non-vegetarian option (fish or chicken) but I actually think ordering a dish would be better. The thali did come with agenerous amount of food and rice (and even had a cut banana on top of kheer) but I didn’t love any of the curries orsoup. Credit cards accepted. Single occupant available in the back right hand side. Indoor dining only as well as takeoutavailable. It can accommodate large groups. Read more

This place is just lovely. I ordered a Chicken Butter Meal with Butter Naan. The rice was awesome to begin with! Relieved some... memories for me. The bread was crisp and yummy. The perfect combination of spices and sauce in the butter chicken as well. Greatinterior with a lot of tables which is uncharacteristic of the corner it is located in. 10 out of 10 experience! Very crowded and nice south indian restaurant. It is very busy during dinner time that you are even requested to leave once your... bill is ready. Food is good And in very nice quantity. The idli was good but very gui. The dosa was however good and the sambarwas really authentic and spicy. The appam was good too with the chicken and chana curry both of them being spicy . The biryaniwas however ok ok. Rasmalai was also nice! Overall nice restaurant! Read more

I am probably late to visit this place on my food journey in LA but better late than never! I was very excited to try the food... here since it's a landmark restaurant in LA . We ordered special rava masala dosa , chicken chettinad , special chicken curry, appam , parotta , garlic naan and mango lassi . Masala dosa was amazing, right crisp and flavorful authentic chutneys . Chickenchettinad and curry were quite amazing but the only drawback was that it served at room temperature which is not very typicalfor these types of dishes and didn't bring out the flavours quite right . Appam is truly kerala style authentic. Loved thegarlic naan as well , fresh and right amount of garlic. Mango lassi is just mind blowing! It is probably the thing that is goingto bring me back here . The owner is very friendly and greeted us well. Service is nice , it gets busy here pretty quick but wewere able to get the table without the wait. Read more

Kerala, and growing up on her impeccable, generational recipes, I can definitively say that this food successfully transportedme home again. Cozy and a breath of fresh air! Read more

Two families converged here after a hike and thoroughly were delighted by all of the food served. We enjoyed a dosa, a coconut... curry, idlies and our kids liked their mango lassi. There were a couple of other dishes we also had and appreciate the widevariety foods. In fact there were too many options so we feel we need to return to try the other part of the menu. The servicewas also great and attentive. Also appreciate the outdoor space making it more comfortable in light of COVID. Read more

came here due to raving reviews, but i was not impressed. i got the lunch special, which was overpriced for the portion. the... tikka misala chicken was very tender, but the curry was way too runny. the lamb was tough and the nann was disappointingly dry.last but not least, the dishes could've been spicier. the overall taste could be stronger. overall, i was not satisfied withthe food for the price. expect to pay $20-25 per person. unfortunately, i will not be returning.
