This place is a Family favorite. Every time friends come from out of town we always take them there. The staff is always so... happy and fun. The food tastes great. I got sushi and everyone else got Ramen. We celebrated a late birthday as well and gotsome strawberry sake which tasted great. The staff surprised me with a happy birthday song and I got cake which I think wasgreen tea cheesecake. It tasted fabulous! I love how the place is decorated. Read more

Good food and an entertaining chef at the hibachi table. Expect all of the standard hibachi tricks by the chef. Ours decided to... throw a ball of rice to each person. Good luck catching it with your mouth or else be ready for a stained shirt. We had thechicken, steak, shrimp and tofu. Nothing disappointed! Read more

Fun dining experience. Extensive menu with vegetarian options available. The place shows a little bit of wear and tear but well... maintained. The staff was a mixed bag, a few I interacted with were just polite but not overly friendly. My waitress however wasvery warm and attentive. Read more

Service was slow. While waiting for a table we thought we have a drink at the bar. Despite the bartender walking past us... repeatedly, he never even made an attempt to acknowledge us. The hibachi chef was fun and food was great. Server was very latebringing out beverages, we were already on the second course before my husband’s water arrived. Read more

It was really good, and was a lot more sanitary then what the other reviews were saying. We were a bit unhappy with the amount... of vegetables, but everything tasted good. Answering a review I saw, a girl was complaining she got shrimp with her chicken, andif she read the menu, she would have seen it comes with two pieces of shrimp. Read more

I am new to the area, but not new to giving reviews. I'm a foodie and I like to review restaurants as a hobby, mainly doing it... just for fun. But I enjoy giving honest feedback! The outside and the inside of Kani is gorgeous! Initially walking in, I wasgreeted right away and asked if I wanted Habachi or Dine-In. I opted for a dine-in experience, as it give me more freedom to dothis review a little bit more stealthily. One thing I would like to note: There was an odd aroma in the air when I was taken tothe dining area. I am not sure if it was a cleaning agent lingering or something else, but it brought a funk to the air. Ioverlooked it though, as they seemed to be going through a slower period with customers and I assumed it must mean they werecleaning up after a rush. I was one of only two or three tables being filled at the time. My server was quick to give me menusand ask me what I would like to drink. I asked for a water while looking over the menus thoroughly. They have a pretty greatselection of cuisine! Most of it did seem a little high in pricing, so it set the bar high for the quality I was to expect. Iordered their version of a Long Island Iced Tea, as well as a rice with vegetables and a California Crunch sushi roll. The teawas SPOT ON! Perfectly made without being too strong or too weak for my personal taste!???? Though, compared to other LongIsland Iced Tea cocktails I have had at other restaurants, it was not as strong for it's price. Again, if I am paying a highdollar amount, I would hope that the quality would match or supercede my expectations. While it fit my personal preference instrength, it may not fit the preference of others who regularly have a cocktail with their meal, (especially for almost being$10 by itself). The sushi was was SUPERB! I could tell sushi was definitely their forte!! If you are looking for quality sushirolls, then this is definitely a place to consider! For it's price, it matched it's quality. I can't say Read more

If I could leave this comment without stars I would. I do not see how this place is worth 4.3. The people who left the high... stars must not know quality food or how to cook it. I wasted $40 on this horrible horrible food. First off it wasn’thot. Secondly the salad has spoiled pieces in it. The chicken teriyaki came with shrimp that I didn’t order and no sauce orhardly any vegetables. The kids noodle looks dry no sauce. The chicken looks like cafeteria food. Only thing I attempted to eatwas the rice until I got to the bottom and found a piece of hair. I want a refund and I will not return ever. This isridiculous and I’m extremely upset ! Read more
