Went out with our working group. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The courses we had to choose from were enjoyable. I didn't... expect the appetizers. I'm not one for tofu but I would say the tofu taco was good. The shrimp was good but I would havepreferred it warmer and maybe the sauce to have a lil spice. (Thats just me I like spicy food) The calamari was excellent thestaff that took care of us did a wonderful job. High 5 to (Mina and Amelia) The steak was just melt in your mouth delicious.Cooked perfectly just how I ordered it. The sides were good as well they paired well with the dish. I would definitely recommendthis place to anyone looking for a good steak in the Santa Clara area. Read more

Alexander’s has always been a high end steakhouse and as usual, didn’t disappoint. Superb side dishes: mashed potatoes,... creamed spinach (a little crunchier than at other places, truffle fries. Then surf and turf for me and rib eye for my spouse, both perfectly cooked. The lobster tail was good sized. We finished with chocolate ice cream and, of course, cotton candy. Read more

Would round this out to a 1.5 if I could, the experience overall wasn't the best. We went for my Mother in Law's birthday... lunch. They gave her a card which was nice and sat us down. They asked for our preference of water (although hid the cost untilwe got the bill - not free water but $12 a bottle) and after about 10 minutes we still did not meet our server so we asked theperson giving us our napkins and water to take our orders. Mind you, this was 2pm lunch service on a Saturday and we were oneof two tables in eye shot. He happily took it though, and we then played the waiting game. We were given a shot of soup and ourstarter pretty quickly (where we finally met our server), but soon realized it had been 50 minutes without getting our actualfood. At about 3pm, we did get the food - with no explanation to the delay. Granted we did not get the namesake steaks andopted for the "not steaks" portion for a lighter lunch, so I cannot speak to their specialties. However, I got the French Dipsandwich with prime rib on it, and it was....not great. I'm not sure if it was because of the long wait, but the sandwich wasnot hot like I was expecting, and the jous on the side was not enough for the sandwich and also cold. However, the hamachi shotswe got as a starter we're amazing. Our water server also suggested the brussel sprouts which did not disappoint - so kudos tohim. All in all, it was a poor service experience and a lukewarm (literally) dining one. Besides the card, my mother in lawdidn't get much for her birthday celebration - but we did hear singing at other tables. On our way out, the place was close toempty and there were dozens of servers standing around chatting, eating, and preparing for dinner I suppose. But funnily, noneof them could help us out or even be on our side of the restaurant. For the price of the lunch (and $36 of water we didn'texpect) I wouldn't recommend going. Read more

Fantastic ambience with good food. The starters of tuna tartar and scallops were done to perfection. Scallops were huge! I'd... give the deep fried crab meat a miss - batter was a bit soft and I couldn't really taste the meat. The steaks were huge anddone well. The wagyus were immaculate but personally gets a little too oily after the 3rd bite. Prices were steep for asteakhouse and it is an indulgence. If the costs were reasonable, it would have easily been a 5 star. Service top notch! Read more

Took my wife here for our anniversary. I could say the food is absolutely delicious and that would be an understatement. I could... say the speciality drinks were supremely tasty and that would be an understatement. I could say the butter was the mostdelicious butter I've ever had and that would be an understatement. I could say the service was top notch and that would be anunderstatement. I could also say it was incredibly expensive and that would be an understatement. Finally, I could say it wasworth every penny and that would be true. I also really liked how they scraped away the bread crumbs cuz I ate a lot of breadand made a huge mess like a giant toddler. Also they gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary and a card and fancyjuice because the waitress noticed we weren't drinking alcohol. Great attention to detail. 10/10 experience. Wonderful place! The chefs and staff take pride in their work. I enjoyed our experience and appreciated the flavor burst that... came with their dishes. I wanted a low key moment to just enjoy some good food. Justin, the bartender, is a drinkextraordinaire, who was able to whip up a few colorful drinks accommodating my restrictive diet. The first drink was a deliciouslyche martini and the second one was his secret recipe - coffee martini - that was to die for! Both drinks had a rich frothy toplayer, colorful underlining palette and a decent amount of liquor that felt smooth and velvety. I would recommend tryingScallops appetizer and Solstice desert to send your senses to heaven. Read more
