On a Saturday at around 7, my group of 3 added ourselves to the yelp wait-list and only had to wait 5 minutes before we got... called in to be seated. It didn't look too busy, and we asked to be seated at a table instead of bar seating. The servers werepretty attentive and the food didn't take long to come out. The shrimp baos are super crispy and I thought the sweet-ish saucewas an interesting take and I liked it a lot. The karage is actually fried so nicely, and the chicken itself is so fatty, thateven though there are only 5 pieces it was still worth it I think. The ramen is pretty standard and I'm a fan. I could seemyself coming back here. It came out to a total (tax + top) of around $35 per person (2 starters shared among 3 people + eachperson ordered their own ramen). Read more

Located in Cupertino Main Street. This is a benchmark Authentic Japanese ramen restaurant. Worldwide locations, sharing this... wonderful broth, and delicious noodles. My favorite is their Akamaru modern ramen, Tonkotsu pork broth with black sesame sauce, slices of chashu pork and thin noodles. For a more standard offering, I recommend the shoyu ramen with curly noodles: saltybroth, soft boiled egg, chashu pork. Read more

We came into the restaurant thinking it won't be as good as Ippudo in Japan. Surprisingly, it was delicious! The cha-su don was... a nice appetizer to share. We got the Akaru modern ramen - which in my opinion was the best tasting ramen, and the Karka Spicyramen - very spicy. We enjoyed the Hakata (thin noodles) firm noodle texture, which holds onto the broth so well. We didn'tmind sitting by the bar counter. The metal chairs were a little uncomfortable, but it wasn't so bad that we couldn't sit onit. It does get busy, so make sure you get there early and get a table. Read more

I love ippudo in Japan however I had a very different experience here in Cupertino. The gyoza were almost cold and I was... disappointed by the taste. Then I was shocked by the ramen bowl size. They are quite small and more like kid's size than adultsize. I could easily finish it. We had takoyaki as well and I left feeling hungry. Ramen is one of the cheapest options inJapan and paying $95 for lunch (4 persons, before tip) seems unacceptable. Read more

It's probably my 2nd time here since a couple years ago and I wanted to report a noticeable improvement in the menu and general... ramen. For me it moved from 3 stars to 4. Food: I ordered the Akaru Modern ramen and noticed richer Tonkotsu broth flavor than1 yr ago. Nice job . Ordered the firm noodles. Just for kicks went for Sho Chiiku Bai sake to support the local brewery inBerkeley. Pleasantly surprised at the sake..it was sweet and had a clean finish - no bitter after taste. Soup temperature wasluke warm ..would have liked it hotter.. but it was too much of a hassle to call them to heat it up again. Interior - Metalchair seating mixed with wood benches. Warm beechwood interior. We went early afternoon 11:30am so it wasn't as crowded. Booths, communal tables and some bench with metal seat combos scattered along the perimeter of the restaurant. Covid : You will beasked to disinfect you hands before entering . You can use the alcohol gel pump they offer you at the door. Tips : 1. Go earlyand beat the wait-list rush. 11:30am. 2. Get Hakata firm noodles so they won't get soggy sitting in your bowl - if you are aslow eater ;). Read more

I?m a vegetarian and really like their Akamaru Ramen. The sesame broth has depth, yet still light enough to where you won?t need... to take a nap after your meal. They have other veg-friendly items on the menu as well. I?ve been to Hakata for ramen and it?spretty awesome to have this place locally. Read more

THEY HAVE A DYSON IN THEIR SHOP. I WAS BLOWN AWAY A RESTAURANT HAS ONE, so you know they take cleaning up and keeping tidy... seriously, kudos! The seating is cozy and accommodates all group sizes. The food was excellent! The broth for the ramen Iordered was rich and flavourful. Their thin noodles were nice and had good texture. The chashu was delicious. What set thisplace apart from other ramen places I've been is there's less broth in the bowl than usual, so you can feel fine drinking moreof it (for sodium conscious people) and the broth is more concentrated so each spoonful is very rich in umami. The takoyaki wasfantastic. A popular place to eat so come early and don't mind the wait, it's with it. Would recommend! Read more

Came in on a Sunday for lunch and it was fairly busy. Ordered the Akamaru Modern, was slightly spicy and egg was cooked... perfectly. Just wish the noodles were more chewy. My group enjoyed this place! Read more
