I lived in Austin for 3 years up until beginning of last year and would go to the original Summer Moon on 1st St. at least 3... times a week. I loved the hospitality and what Summer Moon stands for in general. When I moved to Cypress last year, we had tomake the drive to Katy for Summer Moon, which meant less trips. So, imagine how excited I was when I heard of this locationopening up only 6 minutes from my house. We went there for grand opening, but didn't want to wait in the dreary rain at 7am (thegrand opening event was packed), so we went through the drive-thru. Coffee was good as always. My go-to is the 3/4 wintermoon,but I do like my drinks more on the sweeter side. Someone else said in their review that it's like cake in a cup aftermentioning how sweet it was for them. Just a heads up - you can always get a 1/4, 1/2, or 3/4 wintermoon/summermoon, which doesreduce the sweetness level. What makes this coffee shop unique is the way their coffee is roasted combined with their deliciousmoon milk that no one seems to know how to replicate. That stuff is magic. There is just no other coffee shop like it. I'm justbummed that I got there too late for grand opening and didn't get my free goodies or a chance at that raffle lol. Excellent coffee, nice clean venue, friendly service. No downsides to speak of, other than a lack of smaller cup sizes maybe.... They are competitive with any national brand you care to name and better than many. I prefer my coffee black, sometimes withhalf and half and maybe a bit of stevia. They had stevia but apparently not half and half. Their moon milk is quite flavorfulbut too sweet for my personal taste, so YMMV on that. Having said all that, I'd be a regular if they offered breakfastsandwiches and they had a location on the other side of 290. Recommended, if you either like your coffee black as death withoutanything, OR you like it like cake in a cup so to speak. Read more

I am so thrilled that Cypress has a Summer Moon location!!! We visited today and ordered the half moon iced latte and it was... delicious. Staff was friendly and service was super quick! Run don?t walk to this cup of Java goodness where they have you at moon milk!!! My husband and I decided to visit after church... and loved the vibe it gave immediately when you walked in. If you need to study, there?s a table for that. Conversations with afriend, there?s a table for that. Set up like a true coffeehouse, Summer Moon does not disappoint. We tried their autumn drip(forgot the actual name) and moon milk in one and I had almond and coconut mixed with moon juice in the other. So if you havedietary restrictions they can accommodate. The coffee I give 5 stars. I also tried the cinnamon roll but it lacked gooyness thatI?m used to and icing. Think of it as a shareable semisweet biscuit. I did appreciate it wasn?t too sweet but I wanted moreicing. Overall this gem is here to stay and likely beat out other coffee competitors in the area. When I say I?ve been counting down the days for this opening - only to be severely disappointed. We are obsessed with... summermoon. My husband drives 23 minutes to Katy EVERY day to get our fix so we needed this opening in cypress. But baristasmake all the difference and they have no idea what they?re doing here. Nor are they friendly to where you feel like approachingthem on how to fix your order. Even the manager/owner didn?t seem approachable. I don?t even care right now if I?m waiting 20minutes for a single order because I know they just opened but I still expect the quality of summermoon to be there. Oh well,back to Katy we go. 2 stars is me being gracious- I?ve been there 4 times since it opened yesterday and haven?t had a goodexperience. Photo below: asked for a double moon shaker on ice.
