This isn't a review on the food, but the service experience. A friend was having Bday dinner here - I called to pay for the... meal - what a debacle! Monica did not want to take my credit card in advance ...she wanted to call me when he was finished. Itold her i preferred to give her my card so to be assured it was taken care of ahead of time - that way she could tell theserver that is was paid for and he could have told my friend Happy Birthday from me. Well, needless to say my friend wasbrought the check and that was that. She at least called to tell me that he paid, and had left!! Sheesh Monica, I tried togive you my cc so to avoid this! What is the big deal!! .........way to block a happy moment for someone dining alone on theirbirthday! And she knew who he was and that it was his birthday! SHAME ON YOU NINJA!!! Food was good...went with my granddaughter for birthday. They used bacon in their fried rice which I wasn't a fan of but others... seem to enjoy. Meats were fresh and cook was good. Atmosphere a little loud but usually is at this cook at table restaurants. Would return. Read more
Absolutely LOVE this Japanese Steakhouse! From the time you walk in the door you are welcomed with a smile all the way til time... for your meal is prepared for you. Food is cooked and seasoned well! The hibachi is not too salty like other places and thesushi by far is the best around! Read more
Food is delicious and quality. This location is a local gem for Hibachi and sushi lovers. Good food obviously, but I think in... large part to the owner/proprietor (or manager, whichever he is). He is always going around the restaurant, interacting withboth regular customers and first timers, treating everyone the same and managing properly. Southern and Japanese hospitalitymeet here. My wife and I decided to have a nice night out for Sunday dinner. We wanted hibachi and we ended being the only 2 at this... particular habachi table. JR was our chef. He was very kind and cool, not to mention a great cook! We thoroughly enjoyed ourtime here that night. Thanks JR! Read more
I came here with my boyfriend and we ordered the spider roll (the one on its own plate, I think), Godzilla roll, Hamilton Mill... roll, sumo roll, and fresh salmon sashimi. Everything tasted fresh, and we were really full after this many rolls. I don?tbelieve it is fair to give restaurants bad reviews because their prices do not match their websites. It?s difficult for mostfood services to order and receive food supplies, and it usually isn?t because of greed that they increase prices. They aretrying to keep the restaurant in operation. My daughter brought her best friends here tonight to celebrate her birthday with her while we(parents+little sis) were sitting... at the dining area so we can give them some space. The girls had so much. The food and the staff were awesome. Our sushi rollswere super. We rarely go on this side of the city so it?s our first time here and definitely not going to be the last. Marcus was an incredible cook and after the meal, told us it was his first night. My daughter said it was the best chicken she... ever had. We had two sushi rolls as well as chicken, steak and shrimp. Servers were quick to being requested items but werestretched so they didn't realize the entire table was out of drinks. My main complaint is the restaurant was kept on the coolside...which had the granite table tops ice cold. They literally radiated cold onto your lap and hands. Bring a jacket. Highlight was bacon in the fried rice. Will be going back. Read more
