We always come to Oskar's when we are at the lake because the food and service are usually really good. But last night we had... the worst service we have ever experienced. The restaurant was only a quarter full, but our waitress disappeared after gettingour drinks and we waited over 15 minutes waiting on her to return. I finally went to the front and told them we were ready toorder and they said they would find the waitress. We waited another 5 minutes and were getting up to just leave and she waschatting up another table, but finally came over to us. Then we proceeded to wait another 20 minutes on food while other tablesgot their dinner, dessert, paid, and left. By this time they were starting to clean up to close the restaurant! Food came outand was good as always. We asked for a slice of cake to go and got the thinnest slice of cake I've ever seen. Reallydisappointing experience. Read more
Food and service was wonderful. They were also very helpful with my food allergies. I had the grilled catfish, very good!... Others ordered the fried shrimp and fried catfish. Their corn nuggets and hushpuppies are also delicious! Wish I had takenpictures. Read more
Been coming here for more than 15 years. I've got two words for you... CHEESE BALLS!!! The absolute best I've EVER had.
For $11.95 you get a THIN CHEAP piece of meat and as you can see BARELY any gravey and child's portions of veggies. No where... near worth the stop.. pass on this place unless you just want to give your money away for nothing. Read more

First time eating here and my dad and I really enjoyed it. Very courteous staff. We ordered corn nuggets and fried cheese balls... as an appetizer. Very good! It was nice to try someplace different. We will be back! Read more

I just wish I would have tried the Cheese Balls. Review: Service, most Excellent. Chopped Steak: I really didn't want to say,... but the meat was charred more than what I would have expected. The meat was topped with onion gravey, maybe no onenoticed. Side Salad: Perfect as I enjoy a cool salad and the homemade Blu Cheese dressing was awesome. Side: Purple Hull Peas Ifound them great to eat with the chopped steak and the Hushpuppies...WOW, so good I said I should have ordered a fishsandwich. The roll, I found much to my appeal as well.
