There were very few people eating when we came so we were seated right away. This place has a nice beachy theme. The table was... sticky and wobbly. The menus we're sticky as well. Our waitress was wonderful. We asked about changing one of the pasta disheson the menu to our liking and the chef was okay with it. We did not order it because it would have been an expensive upcharge. We got two po boys which were good. Only had 4 shrimp on one of them though. We expected more for $15. Also had a Cobb saladwhich was not very good because the lettuce was not crisp. One of the chiefs ended up making that pasta dish we had inquiredabout and chef Dave brought it out. Chef Dave was very friendly and talkative. The pasta was the best thing on our table! It wasperfect! Read more

Delicious!! We're vegetarians so we chose most of our dishes from the 'sides' options. The brussel sprouts were exquisite, but... so were the fried green tomatoes. Highly recommend! Also, our waiter Spencer was super friendly and very accommodating. Read more

Rode up to Dahlonega yesterday and was surprised to find a couple of my go-to restaurants closed. I saw 19 North S&G and thought... it looked a bit too 'cute' for my tastes, but I went in just to see what they had. A very personable hostess greeted me andconvinced me to give it a try. They have a very comfortable bar upstairs and a quite reasonable menu. The young lady working thebar was very engaging as was the fellow working the tables. We had a great time talking about life, the universe andeverything. I had a hamburger with a baked sweet potato on the side. The hamburger was as good as I've had, and the sweet potatoinstead of fries was a welcome change. Turns out, while 19 North seems focused on couples looking for a quiet, intimate meal, old motorcycle guys riding alone are treated well also. Read more

Excellent seafood for the mountains of North Georgia! I have enjoyed each meal that I have had here very much. The first few... times they were out of oysters which was kind of a bummer but I got the seared tuna appetizer and it was excellent. Today I hada Moscow mule, oysters on the half shell, a mojito, and the red grouper imperial. I got a piece of key lime pie to go.Everything was very good and the service was excellent. I sat at the bar. Read more

My wife and I ate a late lunch at 19 Degrees North in Dahlonega, GA, last Sunday. This is a seafood restaurant with a very good... menu and some excellent recipes. We chose items from the appetizers including fried green tomatoes, crab cakes, oysters on thehalf shell, and Oysters Rockefeller. The fried green tomatoes were tasty and well cooked. The crab cakes were really good andincluded what looked like a corn relish. May not be an accurate description but I highly recommend them. The raw oysters wereenormous compared to many seafood restaurants in Charlotte, NC. Its been a long time since we had good sized oysters?.and theywere delicious! We also had a small order of the Oysters Rockefeller. Noy exactly the original recipe but a wonderful version ofthis dish. Thoroughly enjoyed them, too. The drink menu had some very good choices. We were lucky and sat upstairs on an outdoorpatio, overlooking the square. This would be a fantastic place to eat a meal in the warmer months and was very comfortable onthe day that we were there. I have celiacs and can?t have seafoods and many preservatives. They prepared my dish separately and My wife had the shrimp and... grits. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My dish was the best seafood I have ever eaten and I?m usually all aboutbattered and fried. We will definitely be back. Read more

We stopped for lunch on a busy Tuesday. The wait time wasn't very long and the service was very good. We had the blackened... Halibut platter with the gouda grits and coleslaw and a BLT with fries. Both were very good and the prices were reasonable. Irecommend either the front porch, the 2nd floor front sun room, or the 2nd floor back room for seating choices. Read more
