I've been cooking for years as a professional and without a doubt the quality is not worth it. From taking apart the cupcakes... you can tell its a box mix, the cheesecake was decent (a little overly sweet) and cookies were very dry. I talked to Cake Me Away for 2 days trying to work around my fiancé's crazy work schedule to come and do some cake tastings... with him since he took a week off for my birthday so we could get someone to make our wedding cake in October.. I sent them thecake that I was wanting for my wedding and they made me believe for 2 days of talking and asking me about designs and flavorsand how I wanted this and how I want that. They made me believe that it would be no problem to do for my fiancé and I. Onemorning, I all of a sudden get a message on FB Messenger from the employee I was talking to saying that they spoke to the ownerand they wouldn't be able to do the design I wanted. OMG. They should've told me that at the very beginning or at least saidsomething like, "I don't know if we will be able to do this design, let me find out," but they didn't. They wasted my time for 2days leading me on and asking me questions and were very unprofessional just because they didn't have any intention on makingthis cake for me. They were rude and said that the fondant work was going to be expensive. Expensive for who? I never even toldthem how much we were spending on our wedding cake so to act like the wedding cake was going to be too expensive for us to evenafford was rude beyond all. I mean, is this not a bakery? Do they not make cakes for a living??? The cake I wanted was not hardat all and I've listed it below. I have honestly made cakes my whole life and sold them to make a little extra cash and I couldhave easily done it as most brides do make their own cakes just to save money but I just preferred not having to make my ownwedding cake.
