We ordered tamales ahead for an event which were, not only ready on-time for pick-up, but a huge hit for our party. Great value.... The owners greeted us upon arrival and could not have been more welcoming. We can't wait to come back again! Read more

Such a nice hole in a wall with the feel as if you were eating in Mexico. The owners are so sweet! Food is literally made to... order, fresh, and delish. We had bacon, pancakes, tamales, burrito and the fresh bread. Will be back to try many of their itemson their menu. Read more

When you walk into Alebrijes Café you?re immediately greeted by the beautiful couple that owns Alebrijes. But it doesn?t feel... like you?re being greeting into an establishment but into your Tia?s and Tio?s home. I immediately felt welcomed and at home, ina restaurant. I was greeted with hola hermosa, and preciosa and princessa, the care and love is very much felt. The menu is onthe wall to your right and you?re able to look at the entire menu at once. I?ve been twice, and both times, I was greeted thesame exact way and felt the same. The love you feel is absolutely expressed in the food as well. The first time I went forbreakfast and had the heuvos rancheros, and it was absolutely delicious. The second time I went, I had the papas tacos and theywere amazing. The food is beyond ?good? or ?great? or ?full of flavor.? Yes, both dishes tasted amazing, but it was beyond justwhat I tasted. The experience I had brought me back to being a kid visiting my Abuelita, and as an adult now I see, she wasn?tjust making me food, she was creating a dish made with love. While I couldn?t see how the food was being made, I felt it wasmade with the same care and love my Abuelita made her food for me those weekends when I visited her. Food just tastes differentwhen it?s made from love. I cant just say the food was good, or great because it reached beyond what I tasted, but how I felt. The second time I went I invited my coworkers for lunch because I wanted to share the experience and they loved it just as muchas I did. From beginning to end my experience was beyond anything I?ve ever experienced in Dallas, at a restaurant. It doesn?teven feel right calling it a restaurant. It feels like home. 20/10 recommend. On the hunt for my top 5 local restaurants to eat regularly (lets support those small shops!), and this cafe has made the cut.... Welcoming environment as soon as you walk in (as long as they're not swamped with serving the people already in there). We werewelcomed with complementary pan dulce to go with our champurado. I got the chilaquiles (hot seller for a reason... as you seein the pic i could not wait) my partner got the Bistec a la mexicana and loved it. Everything was great- they dont over use saltbut there's always one on the table. Next on my list are the chicken enchiladas, just sounds bomb. Read more
