My family has been going to Alfonso's for years. Just recently we went and they had one waitress taking care of the entire... restaurant. And it was a busy night too. She was trying her best but we and the whole restaurant waited for our stuff for awhile. I also ordered the pasta pomaoro and it had no meat in it.... so I got a massive bowl of noodles in a VERY light sauce. Icame home and ate. Read more

I was quite impressed with the food, everything from the salad to the pasta and pizza was delicious. The place was also packed... this evening and the restaurant was understaffed, and yet the workers were able to handle it fantastically. My server thisevening was very friendly and did her job very well. I will definitely be coming back and asking for her again. Read more

This is our neighborhood italian place. Ambience is always cozy and service is good. It is not high end italian food, but good... enough for the non-italian palate (if you've never been to Italy). Food is a little too greasy, salads are decent and the breadis yummy. A good place to satisfy a quick pasta crave in an above average environment. 4 star for ambience. Read more

A classic and cozy Italian restaurant that has been with Dallas for over 20 years. My partner and I have been coming here for... years and the owner and the staff have always been extremely kind and welcoming. The food is scrumptious and has excellentportions for the price. You would pay twice as much for half the portions here at most Italian restaurants in Dallas. I wouldhighly recommend their Detroit style pizza and their eggplant parmesian. Their wine list is lovely with a diversity in choicesso you can make a beautiful pairing with any dish. Read more

Food was mediocre and pretty pricey for what it was. Sad, its hard to get pasta wrong. Won't be returning. Negroni was decent.

We had a LOVELY dinner for my brother's birthday last night and we were very impressed. It smelled heavenly and was so welcoming... and cozy inside right from the first step in. The calamari was perfect, Minestrone Soup was very tasty, and 3 people at thetable had the Seafood Special. I have NEVER had so much shrimp and crab in a dish, and a portion so large. The cream sauce wasdelicious and not too heavy. My grandmother said several times how delicious her chicken was. As another reviewer said, theLasagna serving size is not as large as other restaurants, but I've always thought those portions excessive for lasagna. TheLobster Ravioli was good but too rich to eat more than a quarter of. The mile high Italian Cream Cake they brought for thebirthday was plenty to share. The service was impeccable, and the owner(?) even brought out the chef after we told him how muchwe'd enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend! Read more

The Good: A place where locals definitely come to eat. The atmosphere was pleasant. Enough room for everyone to sit and walk... without bumping into others. The decorations were fitting for the place. Not too busy or distracting. The pizza was delicious! The veggies were definitely fresh. The Bad: The garlic rolls, although tasty, could’ve been baked a tad less or have had abetter rising agent. They were rather flat, compared to other Italian restaurants. The Ugly: The bar area was very random. Agiant TV playing sports ruined the mood a bit, since the decor is red and black, but the bright glow of the TV ruined it abit. Recommendations: Perhaps moving the TV to a location that didn’t cast a blue glow on everything? Allow the garlicbread to rise higher than 1.5 inches. Read more
