Two things I noticed about this BBQ, either the meat is day old meat or smoked on the fly AND if it is old meat was it re-heated... with propane? First bites were OK and as I got to the end of the PoBoy, I got the sharpest taste of propane. Not definitivelysure it was propane but I know the taste of it. The fries were amazing just because it is freshly cooked. Hospitality is spot onnice. Clean restaurant. One review states this place has a cafeteria feel, what BBQ place doesn't have that feel? This is TexasBBQ right? I went to Pensacola, Florida where I had chopped brisket and it easily won my approval despite being out of Texas.Maybe I might come back in a few years and see if this BBQ improved any. Read more
I'm a regular at Colters on Camp wisdom Rd. Their sandwiches are good, but for the third time I ordered a slab of babyback ribs... and all three slabs were full of fat - practically not edible. From now on, for me, no more ribs at Colters. Read more
The staff was nice and the place was clean, but the food had a serious cafeteria vibe. Nothing was bad per se, but it all seemed... kinda...meh. Fortunately it was also inexpensive, so in this case you're getting what you're paying for. Read more
I absolutely love the Sandwich and Spud, which comes with a drink. On this visit, lean chopped beef looked like it was torn... apart. They fiiled my bread with so much sauce, it was inedible. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed, to say the least. The beef had no smoke flavor, as it always does. If this happens again, I'm done here. Colters has been my go-to restaurant, but my money isn't loyal to any place that doesn't deserve it. Read more
Nice place, clean, didn't care for a homeless person asking for my dinner. I'd rather not have to deal with that anyways let... alone confronted inside the establishment. Pretty good food, I'd return. Read more
